We discussed this years ago . It’s been gross. I told you back then it’s getting to the point they’ll roll him out in a wheelchair with a pencil taped to his hand . They should be ashamed.I will not watch. It’s been a gross theatre of manipulation for years now, I know the emotions will be sincere, but good lord just let the man go away in peace.
I do work, dress, athletic.Well, I would, but I'm planning on rearranging my sock drawer. I haven't fully decided what organization scheme to use, alphabetically by color or chronological by date of purchase. Unless someone has a better way, chronological is in the lead.
Bunch of grumpy sad people in here.
Grew up with Corso and Gameday was a pillar of my childhood mornings. Begged my dad to take me to Gameday anytime it came to Miami. I will never forget going with him in 2000 for the FSU game. Like Corso, my dad is in bad health but still fighting to enjoy every moment of life.
No, the show isn't the same. That doesn't diminish the memories of when it was in its prime. I'll be watching and emotional.
you know wayyyy too much....i believe your lyING AND WATCH THIS WEEKLY CAUSE YOU HIT THIS ON THE MONEY.View attachment 333399
The 90-year-old ex-coach with the sub-.500 record makes his 430th and final appearance on ESPN's cash cow before Saturday's matchup in Columbus between Texas and Ohio State.
Gotta be honest. Hold My Beer aka Grumpy Cane will be sitting this one out. Too much I just don't want to endure.
No. 1) Insufferable Ohio State fan base
No. 2) Were you aware that the Texas QB is the grandson of Archie Manning and the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning? ESPN will be revealing that news during the show.
No. 3) Desmond Howard. His mouth is moving, but yet he never says anything worthwhile. How is that possible?
No. 4 and by far the biggest reason) Won't be able to stomach Kirk "Herbie" Herbstreit sobbing uncontrollably in the clutches of his support dog while Corso waves goodbye with Brutus Buckeye teetering on his shoulder
I did catch him drooling on himself last year, which made me turn it to the big noon show.As they should have. It's not like anyone was not watching Gameday because of Corso's very limited appearances. He used to be on the show in its entirety since the inception, after the stroke they started having him appear less and less, which of course was the right thing to do. But it's also the right thing to do to let him go out on his own terms, he was the backbone of the show since it started. And as I said, it's not like people were actively not watching just because of his condition.
Not until after he watches us beat ND.Aren't we all?
I don’t know how his family has been ok with it for this long.We discussed this years ago . It’s been gross. I told you back then it’s getting to the point they’ll roll him out in a wheelchair with a pencil taped to his hand . They should be ashamed.

SameWow, I couldn't have a more opposite opinion than this whole thread, but I have been watching GameDay basically since the start, right after I graduated HS. Lee Corso is College Gameday. I will be emotional with Kirk and Corso deserves every bit of it after 38 years. I finally stopped watching last year because I had it with McAfee, Saban and part time Corso. I can't do it with a idiot and institutional plug, but it was the last ESPN show I have watched for a decade. I will be done with it after this show.
