Considering Wade has won everywhere he’s been and Lucas had never been a HC before, it wasn’t true at the time. The biggest complaint on this board across all sports is hiring first time HC’s. Acting like hiring another first time HC over a proven winner was a slam dunk, was nothing more than cope. Nobody knew what kind of coach he was (bc he’s never been one) so there was no comparing the two. But seems like it was finally a hit. We’ll see how his career progresses.

And like I said everybody who said Wade would’ve been a good hire was right. Everybody that said Lucas was a good hire was also right.

Nothing you said was wrong. You accurately described his appearance and his lack of experience.

These are the same people who would get mad at you if you correctly predicted a hire wouldn’t work out. Remember how they treated everyone who did the “I told you so” about Manny?

How this thread ages in 4 to 5 years is of bigger consequence.

That is what I said 11 months ago and my stance remains the same. The win was great. I was laughing at how mad the NC State fans were. But your receipt pulling is of little consequence to what I said then and still believe. The results may very well prove that the process didn't matter. Doesn't change my opinion that the how of it all was shaky.

I am wondering if NC State fans did their research on who Will Wade really is.
None of this surprises me but he does have them with a Top 5 record in the ACC in Year 1.
All of the antics come with the package known as Will Wade.

Hey kudos to Lucas he far surpassed my expectations, and beat Wade H2H.

Wade is doing a good job, and will be very successful at N.C. State. Hat tip to Lucas.
