I can't remember the last time we won back to back games against VT.

This will be an interesting game - VT can expedite Alf's departure OR Alf can expedite Flubberneck's retirement.

vt wont bail us out lol just like FSU last week he literally let us back in the game.

The entire division stinks. VT is very bad, but somehow you just can't trust Al to beat them or any of the other division trash.

I think the players will come out ready to prove that they haven't given up on the season and will play well initially. After the initial script we will see what happens. We are not a very good first half or 4th quarter team.

The only quarter we actually play well in is the 3rd. Golden and Dorito change just enough to throw opposing coaches off but once they adjust the defense gets bested in the 4th. Happened against FAU, Cincy and FSU. FAU just didn't have the players to stop us in the fourth. Nebraska was the only outlier.

This will be a close one.

If we lose to VT, then the season is over and winning another game will be very doubtful. I was very confident earlier in the week that we would win, now not so much. But if we lose, I can see us losing out.

I expected us to beat VT this week, but I also thought that we would collapse after one loss into the season. So far, we're 0-1 after the unexpected Cincy loss. FSU usually kills the team morale, and VT is actually starting to play decent football as of late. VT could very well smoke us at home and to that end, the season will officially be over. There's no reason for Golden to remain the coach. The "goal" of winning 10 games will be gone. The "goal" of winning the Coastal will be gone, especially after we lose to Clemson the following week.

WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID, I still expect him to be here for the remainder of year.

If we lose tomorrow his odds of being removed before the end of the season go up.

Expedite probably isn't the right word. Blake is on record as saying Golden will not be evaluated until "after the season". Consequently (and unfortunately), I don't think there is any single game that will result in his immediate firing. However, theoretically every loss from here on out increases the chances of Golden being fired immediately after the season.

We beat VT, but lose to Duke and others. Nail in the coffin will not be VT.

Let's get our coffin analogy straight. Fraulden was dead after last season. He's more of a corching zombie right now, merely going through the motions. I think we can all agree that Fraulden's incompetent body is being placed in a coffin. That coffin will need many nails to seal it. Every loss is another nail in the coffin. Will there be enough nails? Or, will the BOT resurrect him again for another year of zombie corching?

We'll win tomorrow and then get kicked in the nuts over and over by Clemson. I almost can't wait to see that Clemson game. I wish that was this weekend.
