Will this game be a blow out ?

Many pundits are saying it will be.

Miami looked like the best team in the country until Louisville. If that team played OSU we are probably a 3 pt dog on a neutral field, just because they get the benefit of the doubt as the defending champs. So then the question is did Miami get exposed or did we lose due to self-inflicted dumb mistakes? I think it was mostly the latter but I understand thinking otherwise. Looks like we figured it out and are back to being the team we were at the beginning of the season. Pundits are saying it's the former, and we are the team that lost to Louisville and SMU- a big part of the problem was Beck and Dawson. And why did Miami only get 10 pts against TAMU? Beck and Dawson (and the kicker). Weather played a factor but playcalling was not good and Beck wasn't really a factor other than not throwing picks. I thought Dawson was overrated coming into this season and I think he's our biggest weakness in the postseason. A better OC could get a lot more out of Beck and this offense. Hopefully the defense plays like it did against TAMU and 10 pts will be enough.

As soon as the line opened it dropped 1-1.5 points almost instantly in favor of Miami which tells me people think this will be a closer game than original prognostications. If I had no affiliation to this game I would look at that initial spread and think that’s way too much, objectively speaking.

Well, a lot of their fan base expects it will be. Funny, I see all the flexing and **** talk coming from them and it reminds me of how I was back in the early 2000s. I’m at a point now where I prefer the Mario approach of showing them respect, acknowledging they’re an excellent football team, and then letting our play on the field speak for itself. Plenty of time to talk **** once we’ve earned it on the field.

On another note, if we do happen to lay belt to ***, maybe we can get them to return our stolen property from the Fiasco Bowl. 🙌

I think we surprise everyone and spank them. We’re still being overlooked, we’re on a streak, feeling good, and getting better every game imo. I think Dawson has left a lot on the table and knows it and has been evolving and learning as well. Just hope we don’t have the same late start this time and can stay ahead and force them to play one dimensionally and let our pass rush feast.

If we win or lose, I expect total points under 30. We aren’t scoring 20+. They won’t either. The most they have given up all year is 16. We are going to have to win the same way as Indiana in my opinion. 13-10 type game

Miami has the better O-line and D-line. That is a recipe for a close guy. Add in that Mario doesn't suffer blowouts since he has built up the trenches on both sides of the ball.

2024 lost to GT by 5, Syracuse by 4, and ISU by 1
2025 lost to UL by 3 and SMU by 6 (OT).

because they don't know about big game mario vs random mario, and assume our offense sucks because the A&M game despite being repeatedly told the wind was insane

honestly, so glad that happened....let them all sleep

I think OSU is a bit closer to A&M in one regard: they both dodged the best teams in their conference this year.

A&M didn't play Ole Miss, UGA, Bama, Vandy, or OU.

OSU didn't play Iowa, USC, and Oregon. And when they played Indiana, they lost (on a neutral field).

A month ago, a blowout could have been predicted because Ohio State was rolling. But Indiana showed that Ohio State is as vulnerable as anyone else. Ohio State played against two top-tier defenses all year and put up 14 and 10 points.

The line has gone from -10.5 to -7.5 in two days for a reason.
