I agree. Also, Saban did something that many in his position (irrespective of career) have failed to do: he left while he was on top, or near it. Too many people in a position like his hold on till the very end, and tarnish their legacy as a result.

Even more of a level playing field than college with NIL. Go for it Nicky! Would be fun to see a Saban with 20 more years on him trying to impose his will on NFL players like they were college kids. I would expect the same results as his first try with the Dolphins......meh.

He ain’t coming back.

That being said, there are less than 10 programs out there right now that wouldn’t fire their coach on the spot to take him instead.

My understanding from some Bama folks is that Saban’s wife needs assistance. I don’t see him returning if her issues are as I was told.
 
The age of the super teams are coming to an end. He wouldn’t win another one, just like Kirby (HOT TAKE ALERT) isn’t going to win another.

I took my kids (19 and 21) to the Cal game last year in Berkeley. Great campus and college vibe. Stayed in SF and took an Uber to the stadium. Got out of the Uber in the middle of hard core fraternity/sorority parties and thought very briefly "Oh wow, the fun I could have here" only to have a couple of young ladies walk by in Daisy Dukes, bikini tops and baby faces. I immediately felt like a criminal and the fantasy ended right there. There's no way I could see myself hanging out with a girl that young no matter how hot she was and I'm 20 years+ younger than Bill.
 
What's more likely?

A) Saban returns to coaching football
B) Mario wins the ACC in the next two seasons
 
It’s what 140 something teams in major cfb? I’d say it’s only about 10 teams that wouldn’t take him. With that being said, I don’t think he’s coming back
