Will Richt get 4 or 5 years

Crazy as it sounds, I think he comes back to redeem himself if we dont make a bowl, but if we do, I think he steps down and Manny is promoted. No info. Just my reading of him. The dog is gone from inside and I think he knows.

We honestly don't need to can the dude right now, we just need to force feed down his throat staff changes. Make it a requirement for him continuing as Head Corch. O Line, STs, play calling OC. We get those and we are in business.
 
9-3/8-4 would've been a disappointment but understandable.

7-5/6-6/5-7 is an abysmal failure. I don't think he'll be fired at the end of this year but I absolutely expect him to be forced to step down by next year.

The only debate to me is if it'll happen mid-season or at the end of the year.

What I hope & wish for, is for him to retire & yes I know that's not happening.

I agree. 5-7 and no bowl. Richt should be given the choice of approved staff changes, or resign.

VT is pretty bad, so this game might be a win. Pittsburgh should beat us.
 
Mark will be here for at least a decade! He will have a fantastic year 4 and Blake will extend his contract another year!

What you guys don’t get is that he is a well regarded Alumni, a million dollar booster, loved by the community, parents, and above average coach!

We banked on him for a while so we should all get used to seeing him for at least his 66th birthday!
 
After what we have been through the last few coaching hires, I don't think we need to wait til the 5th year. If he does not turn this around with severe changes for next year with an innovative thinking process, the BOT needs to let him go. He was primed this year with the schedule, team, etc. to be playing Clemson in the ACC title game with one loss (LSU). This was an epic failure on multiple occasions, especially to be getting paid $4 million a year. The product he has turned out is nor worse than Golden, as he has better athletes now. I am so bummed, ****ed to see what the U football has become. The 80s, and 90s seem like a too far distant pass, that we will ever get back. I guess we had a good run. Hopefully we can have one more in my lifetime!
 
He will be fired by the end of this season or half way through next season, I assume half way through next year being that the banners will be flying. Im surprised they havent flown banners this year

I dunno, the Canes traveling to Blacksburg foe this game. If Duke and Virgina can beat the Canes, VT should be able to.
 
Am predicting 6-6 regular season and bowl game who knows, depends on how strong opponent, could end up 6-7 or 7-6.

Do not see how next year can be anywhere near the disaster this year is to date. Even believe that team could pull off 10 wins next year looking at schedule depending on what staff changes are made offseason. See gators as loss and at least one other regular season and then what? Schedule better next year than this year and Malik gone( certainly not blaming him for everything) . Plus state loaded in all positions next year recruiting wise, and excellent start to that class so far could be immediate help at several positions.

Think Richt would want to coach 4-5 more years, but he knows as well as everyone else not happening if next year is a rerun of this.
 
Richt has already been here 2 seasons and 10 games too long.

Sadly would not surprise me to see him.extended again.
 
I am on record saying richt was a terrible hire for UM in 2009. Used to say it all the time on grassy.

One reason why Shannon and Golden got a 4th year is because both of them were trending up in wins through 3 years. I am still mind boggled about how Golden got a 5th year (or part of a 5th year anyway) after he regressed to 6-7 in year 4. I guess the sanctions had something to do with it.

Richt is trending downward as he gets more of his players into the program, which is a bad sign that neither Shannon nor Golden showed through 3 years.

I still am sure that Richt will be back in 2019. I think that if we miss a bowl this year, he’ll have to go at least either 7-5 or 8-4 in 2018 to keep his job.
 
Whether he lasts a year or two more, the fundamental problem remains unchanged: an administration that doesn't know what it's doing.

Three years ago, everyone was jubilant when Folden got the axe. Look at us now. We are even worse.

When we were great, we succeeded despite the administration. If not for people like John Green (convinced the BOT not to drop the program), Schnellenberger, Jankovich, JJ, and Butch, what would Miami be? A nonentity in big-time college football. Just like we are now.
