Will Richt get 4 or 5 years

If you look in the past Shannon got 4 years and Golden got 5 years. Now Golden probably got an extra year due to the sanctions. At this point, Richt has a higher winning percentage and the cost to fire him is probably more. My belief is that Richt will be gone after the end of next season if that season goes bad and he did not start the season with a new offensive coordinator. If Richt hires a coordinator then I think he gets 5 seasons unless there is a major collapse. (less than 5 wins next year). I think there is a 0 percent chance he gets fired this year, regardless of the outcome of the rest of the games.

I’ve always been on the pretense that he hired the coaches around him for a 5 year stint. He took the route of buying loyalty so that he could right the ship but forgot he had a bunch of green bananas and his plays that are older than his son. I agree with the five.
 
Not trying to thread jack, but do you think Richt will want to coach that long?

It won't be pleasant. I understand the financial considerations (i.e. what he would give up) involved but my guess is Richt isn't poor.
 
I hope the **** not. This recruiting cycle is a disaster he has already set us back 5 years.

Great rationale. The sad thing is if that's the case? We're looking at hard times.
 
Im in agreement that he will get five years if he makes the necessary changes. If he doesn't and next year is more of the same then he will be fired.

I know CMR is a proud man, but i can see him stepping down it has really been a disaster.
team is not playing with discipline but his UGA teams did not as well as FSU never had great discipline
either . does he want to massively start over ? new O scheme be a CEO give up playcalling
lot to ask. however look at how Saban has adapted to every new trend in college ball
do you ever think Nick would be foolish enough to comment these plays have worked for 30 years

He’s not stepping down unless there is a ton of pressure. Time to start flying the banners.

I don't disagree since the BOT does care and we have not started the air campaign yet. Does your opinion stay the same when he loses the next two games?

Yes, under no circumstance is he fired this year.
 
What makes anyone think Mork will hire some leading edge strategist? He's going to hire an OC he's comfy with, of the same offensive philosophy. Meanwhile the recruits are getting away, sealing his fate. Mork is doomed. Better to fire him now.

Year 3 should have been a bounce year for Miami. But instead, the team is a dumpster fire.

At the very minimum, Richt should have ran the table against the ACC teams on the schedule.

Banners.... BOT does not really pay attention and it is a cheap stunt. BOT is about the dollars.
not real confident in James forcing change on CMR, but it is a reality at this point in time
face we have been mediocre since Donna & Dee arrived and BOT has not made a HR hire since Butch.
 
Only way he leaves this season
1. Retire
2. Told to hire OC and doesn’t not hire one.

Richt has put himself in a bad position. He’s gone next season if he doesn’t make any changes. Manny Diaz will have major input on the offseason decisions. He has leverage with being a top HC candidate. I expect Manny to ask for changes too or he’ll leave. Also won’t be susprises if Manny is name coach in waiting.
