We did not pass to the TEs just had them blocking. I’m proud of Orroyo! That boy put on weight and is blocking his ahs off when in HS he was just a tall WR! With that being said we need to use him in the passing game as well. Because it’s his best asset. He’s an all around BEAST and needs to be used as such!

Like most players, you have to scheme to what they an actually do to maximize their contributions. For those saying Mallory isn't any good, please learn the game. But he isn't prime Gronk, so don't expect him to be.

He's a mystery. Last year he was a a decent receiver but poor blocker. This year, he's gone backward and is just plain bad at both. I mean, he didn't play so poorly in this game, but that's not saying much. Arroyo does everything better already.
There were a few offseason shots of Mallory where he looked slow and out of shape. I don't know what happened. But he definitely did not take that next step. I think he has potential. But he's wasting it.

I only played high school football, so I'm sure I have more to learn about the nuances of the game- can you teach me what scheme is best suited for a TE that can't block and drops TD passes that him in the chest?

Mallory needs a lot of work from the playcaller to be a weapon, but he's not good enough to warrant this level of care. He never had reliable hands and can't even block CBs. If he has the ball on his hands in the secondary he's scary, but other than that he's a non-factor

I promise you will Mallory will be way better in the pros then here at Miami because he will have a real position coach that will teach him the position! The guy is freak but we don’t have a real TE coach anymore only recruiters on this staff

Te coach or not, you got to catch. He’s dropped too many passes. That Michigan state game is completely different if we go up 14-3 like we were supposed to

He doesnt catch well and doesnt block.,..doesnt matter who his te coach was these are problems he has had from day 1 here with little improvement
