You guys discounting OP don't know the power these sponsors carry with certain aspects of the program.
While not directly involved with what goes on with coaching, I'm sure they made their opinions known to Blake and the higher ups about the State of the program under Golden and the damage it could be causing their brand. Not a good site seeing your flagship team you've been hyping getting shellacked by Clemson on National TV.
