Wiley & Smith and Toure & Pruitt

I thought Wiley did a good job getting around the ball a lot. Would like to see him disengage from blockers better when they're blocking him head up. But overall a big improvement from last year and I went to see him get more reps going forward.

We have eyes and can see Smith is a overall liability. Solid against the run between the tackles. Other than that, he’s an average LB

Keionte and Jakobe will be very big misses. Keionte did soooooo many things that you cant see on stat sheet, setting edges, forcing the ball back inside, always defeating blocks, etc. I have seen Jakobe come down in the box and take on Olineman head up and stalemate, that will never show up on stat sheet, no one will mention it but it allows other players to make plays.. I dont think we have a guy who will do that now, just have to adjust scheme..

He looked really good, I have rewatched the game but he was a plus most times, only one play I saw him in hole and looked like he was waiting to catch the RB and not fill and run thru him.. But thats nitpicky on a guy getting his first real snaps.. I just need elite LB play soon, I cant deal with this mediocre ****, Im done with feel good stories.. RENT DUE

He had a visit scheduled and we werent one of his first few visits.. He cancelled when he got to texas if I remember correctly.. Mad we didnt go harder and atleast get visit or go after other top guys.. Just a legit dog who can run and fill actually play healthy LB role..
 
I thought all the backup LBers stood out positively, even Bonner was moving well and made some plays.

We appear to have 5-6 LBers who can play meaningful snaps. 4 of them have all or most of their original leg parts. We only play 2 at one time. We should be able to mix and match our LBers so we aren't screwed if the other team decides to throw the ball.

I will continue to assume Hetherman isn't a moron.

Did like how Bonner looked, not sure why he seemed to fall out of favor but he looks solid..
 
I think it’s funny how some of you decide who should start and who shouldn’t after 1 game. How about letting the season play out and letting the cream rise to the top? There’s plenty of time to iron out all the kinks. And, it was game 1, traveling cross country. We got 15 more games to go. Guys will either get better or get passed up by the talent behind them. It’ll be fine either way.

Relax, people. We have a special football team. Try to enjoy it. It hasn’t been this way in a long, long time.

He’s a straight line guy that’s it … no athleticism very surprising… you bring him on to do one thing he shouldn’t be starting on a national championship team. I liked Pruitt
