Wiggins

relax guys, I think richt knows what he's doing..look at the caliber of recruits he has been in contact with since he got to Miami. let's just wait and see how it all plays out. there's actually some real hope throughout the program for the first time in over a decade, let's enjoy it.

Wiggins blows that JUCO DB Devron Davis out of the water.

Makes total sense to go after elite DBs who weren't previously considering Miami because of Golden. But Wiggins is a UM caliber player who should've gotten a phone call well before they decided to offer a player with questionable athleticism like Davis.
 
You do know that Richt was hired on the 4th and the dead period started on the 14th and had 5 top notch recruits to seal the deal with? Come on.
 
Davis has been offered by all the big dogs, Wiggins other offers include temple, (yes I said temple), Cincy, usf, Purdue, and auburn.

I think its no excuse to not contact him. Its clear they dont want him. Sucks cause kid is good
 
I can't speak for richt or wiggins, but like I said I trust that richt has a plan and so far he's done great.
 
Wiggins' tape is stellar. Ironically he's the type of kid Golden usually passed on and then went elsewhere and balled. Would suck if Richt ran him off.

Wiggins might be setting up a reason to decommit. We have no idea if what he's saying is true because we only hear one side. If it's true, then it's dumb unless Richt already has better guys lined up.
 
Get off the ledge guys. If nothing changes after the dead period then go ahead and get back out there.

Of course,all these people saying coach has been focussing on EEs are clueless.Like he can't find 5 minutes to call a committ to introduce himself and let him know he wants him in this class.Ask Richard and some of our top recruits if coach has called them..

i don't see it as dropping guys. i am sure there will be attrition with new staff new head coach. that happens. richt had to get the early enrollees locked in. guys like zach mcloud, pickney, allision , he had 10 days to get in touch and lock up some guys before a dead period.

if he hasn't contacted a guy doesn't mean isn't after them still , just means in 10 days u can only do so much. now its a dead period if come end of dead period and they get back to recruiting guys and people don't hear from him then panic.

i for one think richt knows what he is doing. he had top 10 class after top 10 class at georgia.
 
I've been finding it weird that Richt, since he became UM coach, started following a TON of recruits... and most of them are out of state guys. I really hope he's not dropping local guys like Desmond Phillips and Wiggins.

I think that's exactly what he is doing. He recruited nationally at UGA not just locally.
 
I don't want to lose a quality committed recruit, but I also gotta trust Richt and new staff. Golden has us all paranoid and we panic about recruits. I'm sure Richt and staff know something we don't and will probably improve our commitment list as soon as bowl season over. I'm just gonna stay in a holding pattern and trust I don't run out of gas.
