Looks like he IS being dropped:
Wiggins (5-11, 180) had setup an official visit for this weekend but now that appears to be off. In fact, he's not sure how much longer his commitment will last either.
"They haven't contacted me about the visit and that's pretty much it," Wiggins said. "It's all quiet so I'm not sure how they feel about me. I don't know what's happening and I'm most likely going to decommit soon."
A new program has decided to move quickly with Wiggins and they're hoping that will pay dividends even before national signing day.
"I'm going on an official visit to Illinois starting tomorrow," Wiggins said. "I'm actually doing a home visit with them tonight. Next weekend I'm not sure anymore, Temple hasn't called to give any information. I'm making my final decision on Monday though anyway."
The Fighting Illini's efforts are being led by a familiar face for Hurricane fans. Wiggins had pre-existing relationship for obvious reasons.
"Paul Williams was the defensive backs coach (at Miami) and now he went to Illinois," Wiggins said. "He contacted me and said they have an opening for me to play right away. We've been talking more and more so we decided to setup a visit this weekend."
Cincinnati is the other main program in the mix for Wiggins. They became the first school outside of South Florida's borders to host him on campus for a visit.
Feel bad for the kid - you know that has to suck. It's like getting dumped by the prettiest girl in town.
Such is life though. Welcome to CFB.
