I know a bunch of us had a good laugh at Wiggins expense in the game thread. Props to the kid, he had the whif on that ball where it looked like he could have ran for days, but he recovered and had a solid game, 8 rec/106 yards. The sideline catch where he got his toe in on the first TD drive was clutch.

Still...🤣

I've always defended this kid...There was one game this year I was finally ready to give up on him? (VA maybe?? Not fighting for the INT vs. CU??)

But I'm glad he's coming around. I personally think he'll play in the nfl.
He is too weak at the moment and his hands just aren’t good enough. He is a less talented Coley.

If he can learn to fight for 50/50 balls and stop the drops he can definitely play in the NFL. He is going to test well at the combine when his time comes. Hes got speed for days and it translates on the field.

Hes actually lucky that our WR depth was next to nothing due to guys being out because of Covid because after he dropped that slant route that would have been a TD...ill bet that would have been the last we saw of him the rest of the game. Coaches cant keep putting up with his drops every game.

That said, great mental toughness to bounce back and have a good game. "The catch" was BIG TIME. I thought no way he got his foot inbounds but he **** sure did.

I gave up on Wiggins by Clemson. He redeemed himself the past couple of games, as have Harley and Pope. Likens seems to be getting more out of his WRs which is nice to see.

Wiggins has the raw talent to play in the NFL. But he never fights for the ball, and he still has too many drops. Until he solves those issues, he'll be lucky to start for us next year, much less play in the NFL.

You can see that our receivers are lanky and skinny... they don’t have enough weight and muscle on them to battle the CB/SF And get pushed around easily...

I miss guys like André Johnson — beast sized WR.

In agreement, hopefully he can get stronger with physicality to attack and hold on to the ball better. Alan Hurns and Hankerson had huge senior seasons.

Wiggins/Pope ain’t playing in the NFL unless they become special team demons. They don’t fight for the ball against average college player and you think they won’t get cucked in the NFL?

Still have time, both true juniors...I think Wiggins will get there.

Pope has talent and explosiveness, but I agree with you doesn't seem to be getting any physically stronger.
