Why We Should All Be Rooting Against The Indianapolis Colts

Bruce Arians is the one that won the 11 games the first year not Pagano overrated ***.

How about the second and third year?

OP point was that Pagano made the team better than it was which is false. I never said he did not he never won 11 games.

he wins 11 games three straight times with a largely unimpressive roster, and as much as I hate to say it, an overrated QB short on experience and heavy on turnovers.

I've been a Pagano advocate for a while because it gives us a lot of the Butch qualities that we love, a big time name and someone that the admin would find not only "acceptable" but could latch on to his life story. It's still beyond a longshot because I think he'd have ample NFL opportunities so we may not only have to hope that Indy loses but that Pagano himself has different desires and priorities not typical of your average NFL coach. Maybe his illness will have changed the way he thinks about certain life decisions but that's purely speculative.

Btw, this is the only instance (and another longshot) in which I see Butch coming back here in a non-HC role. It'd mean he still is getting absolutely no interest from anyone worthy of his services and coming in here as 1b to Pagano's 1a would either be his fast track to actually getting an offer or taking over if Pagano tests NFL waters again sooner rather than later.

A lot of Canes fans seem okay with Richt getting canned, though....granted he isn't the most well known QB to have played here...

Wanting Al to lose his job is one thing. Rooting for another Cane to lose his it not the way to go. We have prior NFL HC out there we can hire already.

I know. He seems to be a good guy too. Plus, if Mark gets fired it will be because he failed to win SEC despite a ton of talent. Wanting him fired to come here and maybe fail is not for me. We have guys out of work and others who would like shot at another NFL HC job(which winning at Miami can get you), let's get one of them. Butch is the feel good story for all concerned -- except maybe our horrible BOT and football hating administration.

That would be an amazing hire, but I feel like it's similar to Chip Kelly in terms of potential of happening.

Pagano and luck have been ****ed by an atrocious GM. They luck into a once a decade talent at qb then refuse to draft help. The ol is one of the worst ol's in football and the defensive talent is a joke. They went and signed AJ and FG but let's be real, they're on their last legs.

The Dorsett pick infuriated players and coaches, why draft a wr when your ol sucks?

He'll get fired, and that'll be for the GM to take the focus off his garbage ***.

Pagano has done a great job by what he's had to work with.

Richt is a real solid guy but he's been at UGA so long that most of us don't even associate him with UM at first glance. He's also at the point of always just being a year away from Georgia actually winning something and it never happening that you'd have to wonder if a change of scenery would actually translate into a title. Georgia is beyond fertile recruiting ground too and Tech being your supposed main competition should have equaled at little more hardware in Athens.

LOL at Pagano.

The guy almnost died two years ago. You think he is running all over the country recruiting? He will not and should not be considered.

2012 11-5

Pagano was present on the sidelines for four regular season games as he recovered from cancer, but the team's overall record is still officially accredited to Pagano.

C'mon. The average NFL coach works crazy hours. That's why Spurrier sucked at it. If Pagano is healthy enough to be working at that level then health isn't an issue.

Exactly, spurrier said he wasn't working 18 hour days and sleeping in his office. He had to play golf.

Nfl coaches get burnt out a lot faster than college coaches

Exactly, or at least more SEC Championship games. Huge Richt fan, but I'm done with "let me tell you how (insert any choice of nice, honest, Christian, well-spoken etc) of a guy our head coach is" bullchitt.

I'm ready for anybody that is a dyck like Saban, looks the other way as boosters do their thing, and might even be challenged by the English language....as long as they care about winning and developing talent.
