Lol people complaining bc he strives for better jobs. Like if you got offered a better job than you have now you would turn it down. It seems like the coaching profession is the only profession where people get bad reps for being upwardly mobile. Heck bankers move every couple of years for more coin.

In 13 months at UT he pulled in the #8 and #7 class. In 11 years since he was there UT has only had 3 top 10 classes. Oh and the #8 class he only had two months to recruit. At USC he was recruiter of the year. But carryon with the narrative. Oh and his first year class at Ole Miss was the highest ranked in half a decade for Ole Miss where those other high ranked classes before that was when they were dropping major bags that got them sanctions.

Lashlee’s a good OC but this team could’ve scored 10 ppg more down the stretch.

This is true for many. But when it comes to business - there's typically a level of perception leadership is willing to accept. If a person is below said level, it's probably not worth it financially. It's not always about the product on the field (or how well a person does their job in the real world), it's about potential impact to image, impact to other revenue streams, negative press, etc. There's a balance in there somewhere for most shot callers but always with outliers, which is why talented scumbags tend to get more opportunities than maybe they should and less talented scumbags tend to disappear in the night.

The ESPN article about the Egg Bowl: “With a victory in the Egg Bowl, Ole Miss can win 10 games in the regular season for the first time in school history and stay in the hunt for a New Year's Six bowl game.” I understand the reservations about Lane, but if he wins today the 10-win season would be quite an accomplishment.
Never been done in their history…. Even with Eli.

Yea he did that at UT I remember but the problem is he's easy to recruit against cause he dips quick. He leaves and is always looking for another job. Kids don't want to fuq with him and go elsewhere. He doesn't have the same pull anymore. Ole Miss was better under Freeze with bags....give me bags fuq anything else. SEC does it we do it....fuq sanctions for the last twenty years we have played like we have sanctions.

Not saying he's a slam dunk I want to see if he can recruit here. If he can't I'll call for his firing after year two and that goes for anyone we hire.
I have no problem with bags. What I’m saying is your narrative is that Lane can’t recruit which flys in the face of facts. Just think what Lane could do with bags like Freeze. He dipped once at UT for USC which I think anyone in their right mind would do. How long was he at USC? How long was he at FAU? He left FAU in a much better place than when he got there.
All I’m saying is that people who say Lane can’t recruit are either completely blind or just haters.

Trust me he can't recruit...let's see how he closes at Ole Miss this cycle and if he's top 5 I'll shut up. If he pulls big names that bama and OSU etc want....and key game changing recruits I'll change my stance.

When was he recruiter of the year? Cause is it was at Bama that doesn't count that's the Saban effect. Anyone can recruit there...u have to be a coach kul lazy *** recruiter to be let go at Bama.
Why y'all mad at my opinion is that he can't recruit? Imo he won't bring enough top talent to UM to win titles. That's my opinion on it.

USC with sanctions in place here are his recruiting classes. #3, #3, #8, #13. So half of his seasons at USC he pulled top 5 classes with scholarship restrictions in place.... Yep can't recruit lol

They created it...mostly guys that want Mario. They are aware he is a better coach than him so have to paint him as a poor recruiter to prop up their guy.
In what world would dude not be able to recruit at Miami lol, worst he already has a feel for the area coaching at FAU.
He wold be able to recruit nationally for a big time qb...and wheel in proper skills that we need. He currently has Devin Bush on his staff at Ole Miss for s.fla recruiting purposes. Depending on what type of staff he would put together....he would be a complete problem in the acc recruiting similar to Mario in my opinion.

Weakest P5 conference?? The ACC does exist. And so far they’re only a 2 loss team with no QB, that’s a success in any conference.
