Why not T-Rob for DC?

This is my main concern, we need to get a good DC. It is a bonus if he can recruit but that is not a concern of mine.

Give me a guy with some time put in as a defensive coordinator and a coach. I want an ornery dude who's on his fourth marriage, has a faded anchor tattoo on his forearm, and grabs players by the facemask when they ***** up in practice.

I want a vet that knows how to coach defense and has been using his philosophy for years. We have enough young, high-energy, recruiting types on the staff. You never hear recruits mention D'Onofrio's name, anyway. Get a cranky son of a ***** that will call plays from the booth with a fat lip in while sitting on a special pad for his lower back.

yeah, we don't need a learn on the job DC. and like noted, we can stop w/ the search for a new DC, ours isn't going anywhere.
 
It's an interesting name, even if you don't include his recruiting prowess.

I've said a couple of times I would prefer it if both of our coordinators weren't more recruiters, but what do I know.
 
I actually agree with this. I've posted it before that this guy could be our Jeremy Pruitt. If you look at his body of work with DBs it's impressive. Why not give him a shot?

I'd love to see TRob here as a db coach, but not DC. We need someone with experience running a D, and adjusting to the talent and tools he has.

Golden should definitely put out a feeler... A lot of kids seem to like him and his players produce on the field.

3 years ago would of been when you could take a shot. We need a proven DC. No more guess work. I'd take him as DB coach tho.. Paul Williams sucks ***

Coach D, Franklin and Williams are recruiting aces. We are loaded at every position thanks to them. All those 5 and 4 star LBs, DTs, S, and DE's Red shirting. Only reason AJ Highsmith, guys with no knees and back-up UVA DT's are playing.
 
D'onofrio is still the D-coor. However, if the job does become available my first choice would be Winston Moss.
