Why it's easier to get Northeast kids

**** Urban Meyer displays his Florida national Championships in his Ohio St office. But that aside OSU's weight room looks to be about the same size as Miami's so how can they make the claim of having better facilities other than the Stadium?

Most State school campuses in the NE & MA region look like this.

Then you schools in the Mid Atlantic Region like U of MD.

Notice the difference between the promo video of the UMD (shot during the summer) vs the real life Video (shot during the fall). Most Norther schools try to get recruits to visit early fall for a reason! Then consider a player a like 2015 SDE Austrian Robinson who has Maryland as his Top School, but is visiting my this weekend where the avg temp is 75 degrees vs Pawling, NY when he left it was 10 degrees, an in College Park, MD the avg temp this weekend is 32 degrees.

In addition to what OP stated, IMO the reason you're seeing these morons have some success with the OOS kids is that they aren't as aware of the program's current toxicity as the local kids, who see and hear about it every day.

No they just dont have friends and family constantly in theor ear telling them how crappy the program is

Isnt that exactly what I said?

I might go so far as to call it an urban vs rural thing more than north/south.

Depends. For some kids - even NJ - miami is too urban. That was an issue with Brian Toal.

For Toal....Urban actually meant Black.............lol..we had NO White lbs at the time...dude aint had no connectgions..i always remem, bered that recruitment...and wondered who he would fit in with on his visit.

Lol Z@ miami being too urban for a kid from NEW JERSEY..when like 60% of our population is originally from NJ/NY

Living in miami has nothing to do with being a member of that team. Lots of NE/NJ kids come from very white areas and then you're thrusting them into a vastly different environment on the miami football team. Some dudes embrace that, others don't.

if you see a kid like cager or marcus lewis commit to um, I think the locality has alot to do with it. My buddy coaches in PA and alot of his kids went to west coast. Kids from northeast dont really view florida as the south especially south florida. many kids have family. its really tough for a kid from jersey, new york, philly, balitmore to adjust to southern red states. that is why they seem to avoid that part of the country. I am not claiming anything i just see kids from northeast look at schools like miami, ohio state, michigan but no matter how good, they seem reluctant to go to an alabama, Auburn , etc.

in most cases is because they suck and AG will still offer them over a top prospect out of Florida co signed Quincy Wilson

Their trainer develops their kids to keep there football speed ours try to fat them up to play two gap. My guess if Bosa would of played for us he would looked like **** and if Chick would of went to Ohio State he would look like an All American too

Agreed.

Moreover, I tend to think golden is trying to maintain some recruiting ties in places where he plans on working next.
