Why is D'onofrio Still On Staff?

Fire his a*s. He adds no frigging value to our defense/program. Turn the page and get rid of the last cancer on the staff. With one game to go (Bowl), let the kids play the kind of defense they are comfortable with(4-3 and blitz, blitz, blitz), of course with our head coach overseeing it. I will guarantee you that they will give us a better chance to win, give up a **** of a lot less than 30 points and 500 yards, plus Richt would get to see our kids perform in the environment they are comfortable in. Let the seniors run the game!

he’ll be gone a few days after the bowl game. no sense in waiting all season and letting him go when nobody else on the staff can run the defense right before the bowl game
 
Stop ******* crying. The season is over, there is a new coach and d'onofrio will be gone in the next few weeks.
 
I'd love for them to fire him. Blake should have fired him when golden was canned, but yea if they were going to they would have already..he'll be fired after the bowl game.

Only if they send him out for tacos after the Bowl game and then leave him in El Paso wearing a Trump shirt.
 
Sorry. I guess we should have also waited until the end of the season to fire Golden!! The f*****g future starts now, not in 3 weeks.

His contract is about to expire. I heard that he will not be calling the bowl game. Could be false, but someone told me his contract ends before the bowl game, and they would be surprised if UM allowed him to coach the game because of the inherent risk that he tries to garner additional compensation. (His job prospects are terrible, so they are wary of letting him coach "off contract").

You mean Folden didn't extend his contract 5 more years?

Who else is going to get our DL lined up against slot receivers? Who else is going to have our DBs 20 yards down the field? Williams? Melvin? Hurlie?

Wow, our defensive staff is horrific. What an embarrassment.

Be careful what you wish for. Richt has not hired his entire staff yet. I totally disagreed with Richt bringing Kehoe back. Our offensive line coaching was terrible last year too.
 
i read that there was no person really suitable on the defensive side of the ball that could replace him, so they had to keep him.
 
Calm is the word...NFL games for prospects to consider for coaching doesn't end until 1st week in Jan..Think we'll see at least one Defensive coach from those ranks possibly two...Dono will certainly be gone by then...

My guess has been that they would wait till his contract expired - save a few bucks. If it is before the bowl game we probably already have someone ready to call the D.
 
He will be gone after the bowl game.

We couldn't fire him because no one else has experience calling the defense.

I know, I know. What a ***** up by Miami! It is what it is.

But tbqh, we would probably do better with just pure backyard football on defense than No'Ds scheme for the bowl game.
