Score was close late because we had 7 points stolen from us, and our Center cost us at least 4 points (and possibly 8, forgot of about the false start on 3rd and goal from the 5). Wackadoodle stuff, but it's a football game.

We fyzikally dominated the game throughout. That's mostly what I meant by "we beat the **** out of them." My biggest complaint is that after the ref theft of 7 points and Brockermeyer doing whatever the heck he was doing in the first half, we threw the ball 3 out of 4 plays on our 2nd and 3rd drives in the second half, and threw an INT and went 3 and out on those plays, because we were beating the **** out them the entire game and we should have just kept doing that IMO.

Most of the teams remaining on the schedule don't have the personnel that Florida has. They can have the blueprint all they want but that uif defense is the best we will see the rest of the year. Factor in the rain with a wet field and a wet ball and you get the Offensive performance we saw tonight. I'll also add that the uf defense was pumped up like they were making their final stand. Our passing game will get better as the season goes on and again that uif defense will be the best we see for the rest of the regular season. Enjoy this win. Sometimes you have to win ugly and don't overlook the tremendous game by our entire defense, the offensive line and Fletcher plus Brown. Beck will be fine.

(Gotta say I don't think I've ever seen a 16 play 37 yard drive that took 8:19 off the clock ever before in football) We also had 7 points stolen from us by a moron ref. We easily could have won this game 38-7 without Beck playing any better than he did. We beat the **** of that team.

We've had an amazing start to the season. Go rest up, clean some stuff up, then destroy FSU in two weeks.

He doesn't need to try to carry the offense here like he had to do last year UGA. So I don't really get the comparison.

No one on our schedule can stop our run game. We have the best OL in the country. Our defense is very good. Our QB doesn't need to do anything spectacular for us to get to the playoff and do damage there. He had a bad game throwing the ball against a good defense. I don't think it's the end of the world.

Just stop taking unnecessary risks in your own territory that turn into INTs and he'll be fine rest of the year. FSU at Doak will be a great test for him.

I doubt Beck plays that bad again. It happens to everyone. We can blame the weather, UF’s defense, or even the WR at times for our anemic passing attack, but this was not one of his better games.

Most of his throws were off target. And between that and the early penalties, we just couldn’t get out of our own way, UF was daring us to be patient and continue to run the ball. We fell right into their trap by beginning to force the issue.

The fact we dominated them in the trenches indicates that the sky is the limit for this team. As Mario noted, we have a long ways to go. But unlike past years, our issues can be fixed. There is no doubt in my mind that we’ll get better throwing the ball as the year progresses. People just need to be patient. Beck is going to be fine. We got two weeks to get better and I trust this team to get it done. Go Canes!

We don't need to pass to win, just let Carson manage the weapons we do possess..

Beck was outright missing underneath throws in a way that is more likely to be an anomaly than not.

I do wonder why we don't run more diverse outlet options, but that can be corrected easier than not getting to the check downs or other talent issues.
 
Miami finally has a complete team. I can’t remember the last time that a Miami QB was able to play subpar and they still won the game by 3 scores. Florida had a game plan to stop the pass, so the team just went out rushed 184 and 3 touchdowns. This is how you win championships, this team has everything it needs to go very far this season.
 
Get concerned. This offense is a sub par group. Their programs refuses to play complimentary football

Beck needs to get in the lab and put in some overtime with his WR’s during the bye week. Everything looked off in the passing game - from ball placement, WR separation, to timing, to communication. It was a messy operation. One personnel change I want to see made - a lot less of 87. He offers zero in the passing game. Get an extra WR out there or unleash Gilbert.

Thankfully we were able to pound them into submission so it didn’t cost us.
