We don’t an NFL star. We need a college star. We just need a quality QB. The position has been killing us.How many Ohio State QBs lasted in the NFL? They've had 5 star after 5 star. Most QBs don't pan out. Stephen Morris bounced around the NFL for 5 years, which I think is longer than any OSU QB since 2001.
Grow a sense of humor. You’ll live longer.1) This isn't Twitter.
2) James has been at Miami since 2013.
But I forget this is the board that thinks Shalalalalala deliberately "ruined" football but doesn't even know who Julio Frenk is.
Jedd wasn't that bad and Coley was solid in 2013.Our offensive coordinators have been absolutely terrible.
Generally agree. They had a variety of issues. The only constant was bad coaching.
Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman were bad players.
Robert Marve and Kevin Olsen were mediocre talents with bad character.
Malik Rosier was a mediocre talent with average work habits.
Jarren Williams was a good talent with bad character.
Kosi Perry was a solid but limited talent with maturity issues.
Stephen Morris and Jacory Harris were above-average players that let early success get to them.
Brad Kaaya was a good player and a good worker limited only by his athleticism and defense.
Which is exactly why I think King slaughters our record book this year. Our QBs have historically put up very mediocre numbers, because of the systems. For 2 reasons:
1) Bad Evals
2) Over commitment to the Pro Style Bro.
Old antiquated offensive systems has had our QB play subpar for a long time & overall bad Evals on the recruiting trail has yielded ****** results.
We've never had a 4,000 yard passer in a season & never had a guy throw for 30TD's or more in a season.
At other programs that's pretty routine, at Miami that would be a historic season.
I don't care if they are the biggest bust in NFL history, if they ball here and win games that's what matters. How many Ohio State QBs lasted in the NFL? They've had 5 star after 5 star. Most QBs don't pan out. Stephen Morris bounced around the NFL for 5 years, which I think is longer than any OSU QB since 2001.
These guys probably had squads littered with nfl talent. I have seen coaches without even having a real qb drop dam near 50 points in games. Miami doesnt know what a good college offense is.Jedd wasn't that bad and Coley was solid in 2013.
This.Due to a myriad of reasons and not necessarily linked to one singular thing
They have had several good college QBs though.
It's just crazy to think Kaaya was our best QB the last 15 years. I mean compared to most power 5 schools Kaaya is just an average starter. They had a variety of issues. The only constant was bad coaching.
