Why doesn't Lane kiffin have head coach job?

To make it simple. The guy is a spoiled brat who could never lead a field or room of men to anything of merit.

What grown man would entrust their son to be led and molded by Lame Sniffen?

"He will get one soon.

A top 3 recruiter, and his "failures" at USC have been overstated. He took over a situation very similar to what Butch did here, and when he got fired he had almost the exact same record as Butch did at that same point (1 game difference).

He was probably too inexperienced at the time to be a major HC at the time, but the years under Saban will do him well."

For the risk of sounding stupid does 4thand14 even pretend to be a Canes fan? Or has he openly admitted to hating the Canes?

UF will be looking for a new HC in 2-3 years. I would assume they target him if he is still an OC. Making that the 3rd miss since Urb

To think some people think he or Cristobol would be a good HC here...

But UF has Randy Shannon on staff. Can't they promote him to the HC job after firing corch McElwain?

Since Miami did the same thing after firing a head coach Shannon himself served under.

Or Schiano or Strong....

Honestly I do think Kiffin is a bit better than Cristobal, Schiano or Strong. But that's not saying a lot. Since I'm not at all convinced that Schiano, Strong or Cristobal is any better than Al Golden.

Read this article Why isn't Lane Kiffin getting another shot as a head coach? It's not an easy answer - CBSSports.com

And yes I think the real question is why people think he deserves another shot at a HC job.

What's his big achievement? Being the worst coach to ever get a preseason #1 rating? And then proceeding to go 7-6?

Honestly I'm not even sure he's as great of an OC as people make him out to be. I think serving under Pete Caroll and Nick Saban makes assistants seem better than they really are.
Nothing like answering your own question,,,

You would have to think he will get another shot as a HC. Someone will take the risk.

He is also in an incredible situation right now. He makes about 1M a year if not more and gets to construct an offense around arguably the best recruits in the country every year.

Unless a top 20 HC position opens, he has no reason to give up what he has now.

Kiffen doesnt hold a candle to Charlie Strong. gtfoh

Go on...

What about his complete and utter failures at Oakland, where old man Al Davis wanted a piece of him in the parking lot b/c of the crappy job he did? What about his complete failures at Tennessee, where he's not even allowed in that state again? What about making his father, the once revered Monte Kiffin, look like a complete loser b/c his defenses were always gassed b/c Lane couldn't get out his own way. Lane Kiffin stinks.

There were people on this board that wanted him to be our next coach. Thank god they didnt get their choice.

I can't believe people think he deserves a 4th chance.

If he was black it would be a different story.

Well Willingham got another HC job after failing at ND so not necessarily....

I also assume that corch Charlie Strong will get another HC job after he goes 5-7 again at Texas this year.

Both were successful at their previous stops and proved themselves. Strong killed it at UL and Willinghham had Stanford strong before he departed for ND. Both programs were a mess before they arrived. Kiffin was given multiple HC jobs without proving a thing.
