There are usually 2 variations of this story:
1. The guy that really wanted to come the U but wasn't recruited and then returns home to win it all like we just witnessed with Mendoza and others, or
2. The guy the U really wanted but shunned his hometown team cause they weren't "winning enough" and went elsewhere to win big like Jeremiah Smith and others
In both scenarios they always cheer for the player while the U and this City get trashed.
I can't wait for the day we have a hometown guy that actually stays home and the TV cameras pan back to his parents in the stands while the band is playing and cheerleaders are cheering.
Why not us?
