Why does there have to be a binary dichotomy between "positive" and "negative" fans? Can't we just evaluate things from an honest neutral perspective? Being an analyst and being critical doesn't necessitate being negative all the time.
Because the negative portion of this fan base isn't being at all logical or objective (for the most part) in their rants, and just ***** to *****. They're ****ed off at 15 years of irrelevancy and are take it out on every new coach, without giving him anytime to right the ship. These are the same people who were hyped all off-season about "The New Miami" and some how let that hype convince them it would be some quick fix—when Diaz meant it as a long-term culture change for the program.
Meanwhile anyone attempting to be logical in regards to the "what is"—they're immediately considered a "slurped" and any buying into giving a new coach a three year window; it's considered homerism or blind loyalty.
Message boards started out (decades back) as a place where fans would come logically discuss their team—and much like anonymous social media culture, as turned into a place where people come to ***** and talk ****.
