OP is dumb as bricks...

If anything that proves that Diaz has been putting in work for many years before he ever even got to Miami as DC and had experience as a DC as well
 
Cause we are willing to spend 1.5 million on a DC and decided to give anyone on the D a new title that means something and a pay raise. All this while claiming everyone wanted to be here and they where going to do a nation wide search. Its a lazy hire and unless they decided to take the money saved on an OC its a waste of money not being spent

Alright, alright. Far from my most insightful post to say the least.

I have to think these promotions were based on Banda, Patke, and Simpson's knowledge of the defensive scheme, rapport with the current players and recruits as much as the athletic department's notoriously tight purse strings.
 
They may have a **** of a future, but as of now, they aren't qualified to be the head defensive coordinator for a major college football team. this says a lot about the direction of the program from the perspective of the administration versus us the fans.

Kudos on the mea culpa. You had me on the OP but then you totally redeemed yourself with that admission.

Diaz had been dc at an sec school and Texas as well as two non-power five schools. Patke was a ga last year and co-lb coach this year.

what are you trying to say OP, that Patke has same resume as Diaz when we hired him? Simply not true; not even close.
 
Diaz has 20 years of experience as a position coach/DC and has worked under numerous good coaches such as Mullet.

Not sure. I am a huge fan of the Montys at the Grove pedigree.

Or it could be equal parts an administration that loves lazy coaching searches and a semi retired head coach that refuses to bring in anyone he doesn’t know.
Our administration loves lazy coach searchers so much that they didn’t even conduct one this time around.
All the DC’s in the entire country to consider and this is our FIRST CHOICE. Wrap your ******* mind around that!!!!
