I remember from the 2008 class I wanted to see Aldarius Johnson blow up. I remember going to the Northwestern games thinking he was the man and was uncoverable.

Also, I'll say Doug Wiggins from the 2007 class. I thought he was going to be a shutdown corner and play similar to Janoris Jenkins.

Player I wanted was Patrick johnson(now patrick Peterson) but that last ob lost scared dude away
Player I thought would be great... Hmm either between telemaque and aldarius Johnson... Johnsons showed promise his freshman year... Didn't like the 7-8yards a reception but I thought he would improve.... Wrong!! Telemaque I thought he would be dope but good lord he showed me nothing

I'm still waiting for Phillip Dorset to be more than just a slot receiver who has inconsistent hand and poor ball security.

Kyle Wright. I saw him play a handful of times in high school. I thought he would be a dominant QB here. Im still not sure why it didnt happen. Lots of little reasons rather than one issue IMO.

Happily and scarily - Brad Kaaya is the closest thing Ive seen at the high school level to Kyle Wright.

Reggie Youngblood: he was a contributor but thought he had the potential to be a top 5 pick, just never put it all together. Was here when we had the country club lifestyle going.

Not sure why, but Cameron Binion is a name that always sticks out for me.

Sam Shields
Akeem Jolla
Carl Walker
Tyler McMeans
Dajleon Farr
Al Shipman
And pretty much all of the 2008 class.

Jammi German was a good answer - although ferguson is one of only 7 1,000 yard rushers.

Kyle Wright all day. He wasn't just a kid who had the stats and measurables, he was a winner, a gamer, and was clutch. After the way he beat Sam Keller's team in the HS playoffs, I thought his kid was going to the UM HOF and the first round in 3 years. Miami and USC felt the same.

Kyle Wright is the #1 reason (among many) I don't care much for the star system where failed mailmen and unemployable "scouts" (lol) and "journalists (laff) who can't get real jobs determine whether you go to bed happy or not every February.

Old skool: Danyell Ferguson and Jammi German are always popular. But mine would be..drum roll..CARLOS JONES. Man you couldnt tell me he wouldnt be a mega-star after his season in 94'. He had all american and first round pick written all over him. He had size, crazy speed, playmaking ability, and he had swag. Then he just disappeared in 95'. Real head scratcher.

New skool: Marcus Forston- Thought he was a sure thing. Saw him numerous times in HS and thought he dominated when he wanted to. Just thought he got bored the back half of his senior year and then dominated again in the State title game. Just dont know where things went wrong here. I guess Randy just couldnt get through to him and by the time Al got him it was too late. Smh. Is he still in the league?
