Hire this guy! He will get the money and relevance to the program.
Dr. J. Frenk knows him well and they frequented some of same circles.

That article about michigan's AD above is a perfect example of something I don't think Blake James would do. I don't believe he would ever call the president and say no more experiments, no more reaches, we gotta get someone real to save the program. I simply don't see him taking that kind of initiative. I hope I'm wrong as I think he will be around for a few more years but he has not done anything to instill that kind of confidence

That is why you hire the Michigan guy Jim Hackett. Blake may be wanted by Minnesota as AD now. If Jim Hackett goes out and hires the best guy no matter the costs, then UM is good company. Hire Butch, but give Butch a blank check to hire the best two coordinators in the country, and bam, UM is back to Championships! Dr. Frenk is from Michigan; he could hire Jim, who is just an interim AD, and let him get the next best guy...whether that a fired Chip Kelly from Eagles, or Butch with 2 best Coordinators.
