Who Would Be A Savage OL Coach?

My take...

Miami needs someone with a bully personality. A coach who will demand domination in the trenches.

Can that person really work for Mark Richt?

😳
Just need someone who can teach. It doesn’t matter how nasty the coach, if he can’t get his players technically sound, nothing else matters.

McKinnie in an "offensive analyst" position would be dope and HE'S the one bringing it up publicly? If Richt and co don't make that happen, that's criminal.
And McKinnie and Reed are tight like spandex. Wasn't Reed assistant DBs coach with the Bills? A "defensive analyst" position where he helps out his old teammate Rumph makes sense. He doesn't need the money of an assistant position. He already has a good relationship with the DB coach. As an analyst he wouldn't have to focus on recruiting, but ironically, his name on the defensive staff would have an impact.

I've never been on the "Former player with no coaching experience as Coordinator" train. But if those "analyst" positions were taken up by guys who've made their millions already, love the program enough to put in the work and most of all, are cerebral, I can see it being a benefit.

Imagine Beason as a "defensive analyst" working with the MLBs so Patke can do his striker schtick and Manny can focus on general DC duties. You heard him on WQAM this weekend. He has a vested interest in this working.

Miami has to be creative. And if you've got a former all-pro PUBLICLY reaching out to help out, one who is close with other all pros who have talked about getting to coaching, why not take a swing? Maybe it doesn't happen. Maybe it doesn't work. Well, ****, what you're doing isn't working either. Just fix the ****. smfh
Not trying to jump on ya wagon here, but, if I recall correctly, Dan Morgan, at one time, expressed an interest in helping out. I think it was much the same as posted above, he wasn't looking for a position, as much as he just loves the game, and spoke highly of the chance to work with some of the guys on a more regular basis. I heard an interview he did a few yrs back, I beleive was where I heard it, local sports radio show.

Excellent point.

I'll re-phrase.

Miami needs an OL coach, ALL COACHES, who fundamentally believe this philosophy AND can teach it in a manner their athletes can understand.

Alex Mirabal would have been an excellent choice. Cristobal hired him at Oregon with 10th spot but he might would come back (Miami guy) for higher pay/title. His resume was excellent (who I wanted before Searles).

Ultimately I would love for Miami to get asst Oline coach Eugene Chung from the Philadelphia Eagles. He would be monster hire.

Go Canes

Our head coach needs fire lit under his *** to make everyone accountable
Right now he can’t see why everyone is in a “tizzy”

Eric Wolford.

He has NFL experience and has recently went to South Carolina and turned that Offensive Line from a pile of steaming **** into something that looks like a good product despite having a bunch of no names and he has them competing in the SEC. Also he’s a **** of a recruiter and has Mark Fox from Northwestern committed to the Gamecocks.

Not really sure why we’re letting that kid out of our own backyard when we desperately need O-Lineman.

The whole staff at App state will be at UNC next year. I believe the App state coach will probably get the job once they fire Fedora.
