The fact that people don’t even consider Weldon a legitimate option is blasphemy.

Ya, sure, he’s in the dog house right now for failing a drug test, but he’s still here.

We’ve heard from people like Brooklyn and Pete that he’s progressing nicely and will challenge Perry for the starting job, so why does everybody sleep on him? Because he was only a 3 Star recruit? Which, by the way, probably had a lot to do with him not playing much his senior year because of an injury.

I voted Perry, but I think rosier will be hard to unseat. This will be mark’s defining moment. Stay with guy who almost got you to the big party, or pick new blood that might bet good enough to knock the door down. Who’s the right one? The one who beats FSU and Clemson and wins first playoff game. Mark needs to carriy the competition as long as possible. You don’t want rosier to transfer and loss a senior backup with a 11 and 3 record with big comeback last second wins. Whomever wins, we need to keep rosier and ideally willams and perry.

Oh no, listen Rosier ain't seeing the field. I got him slated as the 3rd string QB or a possible transfer (along with Evan). Perry a RS and Williams a early signee. There is NOTHING Rosier will have an advantage in. NONE. Not throwing OR running. People keep saying record when it comes to Rosier when in reality dude had gotten carried by the defense. Rosier won the job because Perry was not a early enrollee point blank period. Weldon, Williams, and Perry would basically have to throw interceptions galore to not take the job from Rosier 3 weeks into spring.

I got things playing out like this. Perry heads into the spring as the #2 . 2-3 Weeks in Perry is named the leader of the QB battle (unless there is injury). Before the spring game Williams/Weldon emerges as the backup.

I just think with dudes knowing the playbook and knowing where to go with the ball the talent difference between the other QBs and Rosier will be laughable.

Most people understand we're probably going 8-4 with Rosier because you don't get lucky with a guy who's that inaccurate at QB 2 years in a row.

Kinda of silly to so obviously want the ONLY qb ever to lead us to the coastal title to leave. I want better qb play too but Rosier is a valuable asset. Everyone else is just someone we hope will be good. As canes we all want and all we want, is to win it all. I don’t think Rosier can get us there so I am hoping someone else is, but not to just get rid of Rosier.

Listen my favorite current Cane is quarterman but we beat WI is he doesn’t drop that pick six. We need all our players to make that play not miss it. Just about everyone had plenty of bad moments that cost us in those last three games. Pitt was horrible. The entire team just came out flat. Whoever wins the qb battle, let’s hope he is as good in the cost games in the closing moments as Rosier was this year. Losing that FSU game would have been 100 times worse than NOT winning the Clemson game. We would have lose 3 or 4 after it like always.
 
I voted the dark horse Williams because I think Richt will want Perry to develop in the second half of games and I’m not sure how much pt Rosier will get.

As much as I think Richt wants to give Perry the keys to the car, I think Perry would have to be the Second Coming Of Jameis to get the job right out of his redshirt year.

Richt does not like Rosier as his QB. He did what he had to do this season and he coached him up to the best of his ability. Rosier is far too limited and the well is dry. Defenses have figured him out and he isn't going to get any better. He is who he is.

Rosier is absolutely terrible. I don't get why you guys dont see this. The players do not want him to start either. They do not believe in Rosier.
 
Rosiers true colors showed to everyone the last 3 games. Most saw the writing on the wall as the season went on.

The fact is that we were lucky to win as many games as we did with a QB who is that inaccurate. Look at the dog fights we were in cause the offense had long stretches of disappearing (GT, UVA, UNC, depleted FSU, UVA, etc).

With the talent we have on O, we should be dropping 40 bombs on most teams. That’s not happening with Rosier.

Spot on.

The only reason why Rosier took the job was because he was competing against a true freshman who didn't EE and a kid in Sherriffs who shouldn't be on a P5 roster.

Any other year Rosier wouldn't have seen the field, but Richt was handcuffed by Golden's lack of QB depth and Kaaya's insanely misguided draft declaring.

LOL...if that's the case, why didn't Weldon beat out Shirreffs for the #2 spot?

Weldon was an EE and couldn't even crack 40% in the QB battle...yet Perry walks on campus in the Summer and at least cracks 40%.

**** even Kaaya cracked 50% as a Summer enrollee.

Man, some of these dudes think the Briles family could have made Rosier a better QB because of what they could do WITH KIDS THEY RECRUITED.
