134k salary with no true job title at UM vs Oline / assistant head coach with 600k salary at Bama. Nothing ****es me off more than when fools say he should have stayed and honored his 134k agreement with UM! Lol

Nice in theory, but this isn't some fantasy land where you get a guy like Meyer. The entire athletic department operates on a budget. If the money was there for a guy that would command three times the amount we are paying Diaz, they would spend it. That is only part of it, as you would have to spend the same amount on assistants.

The bigs have outpaced us. They have more money than we ever will. We have never been the school to hire the hottest name or most expensive. We've always gotten the up and comers or guys with little or no head coaching experience by and large.

There's a reason for that.

Add to that, fans were already off Al's sinking ship. Mario took the job here as any sensible person would, to keep some sort of income flowing. Nobody, not even our dumbest fans would've turned down that pay increase if it's accurate. If one were to, that would certify their stupidity and their would pupils would fail because of it.

Any other first time head coaches ever started their career with a top ten rival basically at home, and a divisional game on the road at night. If so I would like to see what they did. Tough start so far, but it was a rough starting schedule. Not many teams start their season with two power 5 teams.

Give the man a season or two then start making your phone calls. Why does everyone think we are going to be a championship caliber team right out of the gate every time we get a new coach? At this rate we wouldn’t of even kept Saban after one season.

So what was he supposed to do. Say "I'm going to do my best, but we will probably have some bad games and lose our first two". I think talking up you team is part of the deal when you're a head coach. So if we get rid of Manny, are you expecting the next coach to set very low expectations so he isn't hung out to dry after two games from fair weather fans such as yourself?

Cmon man - coaches don’t have to manage the fans emotions and expectations. If you’re a dumb enough fan to believe that a 1st yr guy was gonna walk in and flip it immediately then that’s on you.

And I’m not excusing the way we’ve played. But stop acting like these coaches need to coddle fan expectations.

Diaz and Enos have kept it real from day 1. In fact, they’ve been pretty open about where we are. Guarantee you these first 2 games don’t surprise them.

Brother, am anything but fw. i will suffer through for the rest of my life if it comes to that.

I get that Mandy HAS to play todays media game, just pointing out the obvious, expected, and deserved blowback when it doesn't work out as planned.

Don't think he could've done a better job in the off season, I loved it....its just that.....welp.

here we are.

if we can stop the defense from melting down, we may have a better year, but after a 2 game sample, it aint looking great.

Manny isn't going anywhere yet and he will make the changes on the Defense to get it better.

But go after Mel Tucker Colorados new HC

Manny isn’t Saban or Urban. He hasn’t proven jack sh*t yet. In a well ordered Football Pyramid, Diaz would have coached at Temple as his first job. However, All Under Heaven is in Chaos and Pigs are being sold in pokes.

Don’t believe what the Slurpers have been telling us since Diaz was hired-the same song and dance was rolled out for Richt AND Alfraud by the Administration and it’s partners in the Miami Sports Press. They need to justify their investment in Manny so they can justify NOT spending NFL Money to retain the services Of someone like Urban Liar or the Pirate.

That said, Diaz COULD become the next Dabo. Unfortunately, just as he’s seemed to have turned the corner of offense the D can’t seem to defend the pass. That’s going to haunt Diaz until he figures things out. If he doesn’t, especially on defense, he won’t be here after two years.

BOT wanted Mario. FACTS. Richt was getting pushed out at the end of the season. Thye were in contact with Mario. it was in play when blake ran and hired manny same day like a moron.
