Who will lead the 2026 team in sacks?

Wilson.

On that note...

How does Wilson compare to either Bain or Mesidor?
Him and mesi are similar levels but wilson probably has a higher ceiling because of athleticism and age. Mesi a better run defender tho

Bain is one of the best edge run defenders i have ever seen so i put him in a different tier. Also super deep bag of rush moves and versatility because he could be an all American top5 pick at 3tech too

But traditionally the best pass rushers are usually the best athletes and wilson is the best athlete of the 3, need to watch more to see how good he is vs the run but he played a bunch at uga so id assume he’s at least solid there

He isn’t as advanced of a rusher even tho his hand usage is solid right now, we will see what he is after being with jt.

Judd Anderson. He ponders D$ idea of playing TE, throws that in the garbage, IV protein engaged, gains 40lbs and begins to play DE.

Polymarket has it currently at 1:1000. I say, free money

Lightfoot.

Also…Both Lightfoot and Wilson will be 1st round draft picks making it our 2nd consecutive year with multiple 1st rounders on the DL.

Lightfoot gets double digits and gets 1st round buzz.. think he’s gonna have a huge season

Wilson won’t be too far behind he’s still gonna be great.

Lowe gets 4 or 5. He’ll flash potential but I think he’s gonna take this year to figure out the speed of the game so unfortunate he missed the entire season.

DTs will be great 1-2 best combo inside since RJ and Norton

I don’t know who’s going to be #1 but I think overall we’re going to have bigger numbers than last year. With our offense I could see teams having to throw a whole lot more trying to catch up.
Mario’s going to prove once again why he’s one of, if not THE, best coaches in all of college football at stacking talent. After the season ended everyone in the media was like, “I’m really worried about Miami’s D-Line next year…they’re losing two 1st round draft picks.” Meanwhile, us real U fans aren’t worried in the slightest because we know the dawgs we got coming back, plus the addition of Wilson. So we’re replacing the loss of two 1st rounders with…wait for it…MORE future 1st rounders. Losing Thomas/Scott on the back end definitely sucks because they were two of my favorite Canes we’ve had in a long while, but the young guns we got coming back with the additions of Hussey/Thornton means we’re going to be extremely dominant again.
