Who will be our second-leading rusher?

Look… everyone was hating on Lyle this year for whatever reason. The dude was either hurt, got in his feelings, or ****ed off the staff. Doesn’t really matter what the reason was this year just wasn’t his. That being said, he has all of the positive traits of both Fletcher and Pringle. If he gets his head right, he has the physical potential and God-given gifts to be better than both of them. He needs to get horizontal on that couch in the team shrink’s office and exercise those demons cause this dude is **** good.

Or top rusher if not Fletcher.
My money would be Fletcher as the second leading rusher. He has always been a team player allowing others to play and even start.

I don’t see that changing this year. He is just the ultimate teammate. But that strategy keeps him fresh for the playoffs.

1.) Pringle - He came back to be featured. He will lead the backfield in “total” yards.

2.) Fletcher - We save him for the postseason run. He’s established himself. Don’t believe we “overwork” him during the season.

3a.) Brown - Short yardage and redzone packages for Mr. Reliable.

3b.) Lyle - Bounce back year. Will regain his explosiveness in a limited role, setting up for a Pringle/Lyle combo the following season.

It's shocking to me that all of them stayed…I can't even say it was all smart. But obviously I'm glad they did.

Lyle. I 100% expected him to portal and he didn't. Mario probably guaranteed him every opportunity to regain the #2 spot and take over as the #1 after Fletcher leaves. I expect Lyle (if he stays healthy) to have a good year.

I expect similar to last year. Fletcher strikes fear in the defenses. We don't take a major step back when Fletch is a little banged up and Marty comes in to move the chains and fall forward and take folks along for the ride. Pringle Will have the most yards due to the explosive nature of his runs after the defense is already weak from having to tackle Fletch and Marty. Lyle will have moments but barring injuries, there just won't be many opportunities for him to carry the ball consistently vs our signature opponents and especially in the playoffs.

I hear Realus George has slimmed down from his move to DL when he transferred, petitioning the NCAA for extra eligibility.

He’s not nearly as big as Fletch and not as fast as Pringle. I think he can be a decent back, but what you wrote is pure fantasy.

I love it that all 4 backs are back but to be honest, I’m curious how it will work out. Estimating 30 carries per game, how are we going to keep 4 guys happy? Im guessing the assumption is that you’re going to have Injuries with 2 of the guys.
