Start Mesidor, let Blount and the others rotate in and earn more snaps by their play. Maybe he overtakes Mesidor during the season, maybe not. Regardless, there will be 4-5 guys who will play a lot given how deep we are.

He’s proved something so far that the others haven’t.

Let them rotate in and PROVE they deserve it.

Their HS rating and rankings don’t mean **** unless they show they were deserved.

Agree. Give me more speed especially if the other three DL are BIG and our LB can help with run D. At worst, Mesidor/bain on run downs with at least one speed guy all other downs moving Blount, Mesidor, Bain around including inside.

i think biggest take away is we need the best players in on 3rd down too... I'm sick of seeing somebody make a great play on 2nd and then subbing them out.. they should be and need to also be in on 3rd down esp after making a great play

And assuming you want Blount to start is based on his hs rating? I watched him play last year and he did nothing of note. High motor kid with plenty of talent. The hope should be he takes reps away from the guy in front of him throughout the year.

What’s the concern? Because they aren’t 4.5 guys? Osu just won the chip and had a top defense with 2 DEs who wasn’t considered athletic guys
