Who is off the wagon already?

For those of you who have watched the movie Idiocracy, here's a parallel:

The same folks that are killing Enos/Barry, and even to a lesser extent Manny/Jarren, are probably the same ones that were on the side of all the dumbasses in Idiocracy that wanted to kill President Not Sure because the crops weren't growing in the dust bowl yet after being on Brawndo instead of water for generations.

I wasn't biased towards Richt. I just was stating the facts. The guy can't recruit the OL. He never could, even at Georgia, where blue chip OL are everywhere.

Manny was a better DC than NO d. Obviously. He could beat all the 3 star filled Coastal teams with his D, but he needs to recruit better. That is all I am saying. He could be the best Xs and Os DC of all time, if he doesn't get the guys he isn't beating elite teams. He needs to work on that because right now he is showing he is not a good recruiter.
But how is he showing that bro?? Your basing this off 247 rankings..I’m looking at mannys class just so far this year and not understanding your logic..unless you think stars by a ***** name is the end all be all. It’s not. It’s about how you develop YOUR GUYS. Especially on defense since that’s where manny has been with us the recruiting/evals have been fine.

Off the top of my head those are guys either starting or in the 2-deep manny has brought in not to mention the young pups....are you saying he missed on these cats?

Btw I just went through ugas classes from 2006-2012 every year he had at least one “blue chip” recruit

Because these dudes need to blame the coaches for something, it's the "in" thing to do. THe fake punt is on Patke, the missed FG and muffed punt is on the player only
We were definitely not prepared for that fake..we were trynavge the block if I remember correctly. They caught us off guard. But like I said a fake in your own territory..nobody expects that

Nonsense. In any given game, even teams like Alabama and Clemson have mistakes. Given that it was the first game of the year, mistakes are even more common.

No schit every team makes mistakes, but when you make that many simple errors on special teams there are issues with the coach. Hopefully Patke will handle it.

It takes both. development and talent. Its not just developing. How many of those guys were LBs that He personally recruited? Also, landing good, but not elite DBs in So Fla is easy as ****. Even No D was doing that.

Richt landed tons of Blue chips at UGA. I am talking about OL blue chippers.

I'd throw Patke and Stubblefield in there too. Hard to imagine special teams playing any worse or position group being so bad that they feel the need to put in a QB as WR3

I guess you know nothing of strategy...putting Martell in with his ability to pass the ball, gives the D something more to think about and could open up other plays down the field. And let's face it, our O Line needed the help.

Anytime you see something different like that, there is a strategic reason. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Two of the plays Martell was in on where he was in motion, there were decent gains by the offense through a different player.

Kickers miss kicks. I think it's only the second kick in the under 29 yard range that Baxa has missed in his career. It happens.

Patke can't catch the ball for JT.

As for the fake punt, 1st quarter, in their own territory, it's a highly unusual, unexpected, and risky call that paid off.

...and again, first game of the year.

Of course kickers miss kicks, but when there are 2 massive mistakes in a game on special teams that is when it becomes an issue. The fact that this happened in a rivalry game means even more.

Keep digging your heels in and keep taking the L. You're wrong dude, let it go.
Is there something specific in Patke's career that qualifies him to coach special teams? Anything I'm missing that makes him the savior to one of the worst unit's from 2018? Cus you sure seem to be quite confident that he can do no harm

Based on what? I've said he was at fault for the fake punt, no way in **** I'm blaming him for the oter two mistakes

Injuries have hindered the LB position (Jennings &steed)..HUFF and BROOKS have talent tho. They aren’t scrubs either..our DBs have played at a elite level also. You once again basing “elite” off of star ratings. Tyson Campbell didn’t play at a “elite” level last year at UGA. ..Chris Henderson wasn’t the best corner on the field Saturday but is considered elite. Bandy was the best and is not considered elite nationally..

And like I said MR was landing bluechip lineman..

Why the **** would I take the L when I am 100% correct.

Let me see if I can explain this to you in a way even you could understand.

If you constantly forget to add salt to the french fries when cooking them, than you are going to get fired.

Now if multiple fry cooks are forgetting to put salt on the fries, the manager is getting fired.

Get it now?

I never said he landed 0 blue chip linemen. I am saying in all his years he landed less than Kirby did in 2 years. That is unacceptable.

Bandy is elite. I will give you that. Yes the other guys have talent, but they are not elite. He is not recruiting at a high enough level to actually be considered a good recruiter. 247 is right more often than not. Our guys looked elite because they are playing scrubs. Look at the team we just played. The QB that is basically a converted fullback.

It's one game. If it happens throughout the season, fine. Whining about one game and making knee-jerk reactions. Yes, you're taking the L.

Guess what. We only have one game to look at. The guy fvcked up. I am not saying fire him, but the guy needs to be chewed out by Diaz for that BS.

LOL Felipe franks..ivey, bandy and Blades would play in any defense in the nation. So yes they are elite talents..Hall and carter would play at any D in the nation..none of those guys scrubs in terms of talent..when I look at our D I just don’t see what your talking about. I didn’t see one individual on D who took the field Saturday looking like they didn’t belong..maybe 20 lmao, but he did his job..there’s no mike Williams, aj highsmith and fentress on our D
