I was in Jax for a wedding thanksgiving weekend. decent place in DT (stayed at the Hyatt riverfront - hotel was nice). didnt do much else exploration wise though. will have to make another visit

They have debated that. I believe Jacksonville has plans to expand the intermodal transportation center off of I-95 and Bay Street. They would (mostly) use the existing rail lines between Jax and Cocoa.

Also talking about another expansion from Orlando to Tampa.

Then, if they were smart, they would do a full loop from Tampa to Miami.
