Thornton has to be play Boundary Safety, with Fitzgerald playing nickel.

Feel like the boundary safety needs to bring more thump and in the box more often, where the nickel is mostly just sniffing the box if they had a TE ans just 1 WR on it's side.

Just my opinion! Fitzgerald got more range and can play FS if Poyser has to come down and the defense HBRs it (rotates positions).

Thornton. Fitzgerald seems like a Reed ballhawk type safety out there based on last year. Putting Fitzgerald at nickel minimizes his strengths IMO.

Whatever happens though I fully trust Hetherman to know exactly what he is doing.

I understand why people want Fitz playing the Free but he looked pretty good taking over for Scott in the Pitt game. The Pitt game was arguably his best game.

Thornton for the way we use our nickel but I actually think Poyser would make a good nickel too. I think him and Fitz will be there situationally on occasions.

Fitz was a menace when he got a chance to play nickle in Pitt game..

Thornton was made in a Heatherman lab to play Nickel in this scheme. I’d go as far as to say he’ll be more productive than K Scott there

Bigger question IMO is what do you do with Dunnigan. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some packages of JJ/Fitz/Thornton with Poyser off the field
