So I see everyone saying if Mario ends up here he needs an elite OC. Personal I hope he either keeps lashlee or goes and gets a Top offensive mind coach like Mullen/Tom Herman. I think there quite a few options out there considering we got the talent that is appealing but the more important question is who are will gonna get as DC? The offense has been doing it’s job it’s our defense that needs a “shot in the arm” so to speak so who can give us that ?

SN: I kinda wanna stay 4-3/4-2-5 multiple but that’s just me

He is going to have his fair share of offers I’d bet. He is young, he has UH defense playing lights out, highly ranked in several defensive categories, secondary background, learned under Saban/Kirby and was on Bama’s staff with Mario for 2 seasons. He is also a great dude, worked with him and he would have us in GA as well as TX HEAVY on the trail.

Mullen OC
Belk DC

I’m screaming that until hires are made, idgaf.

💯. Belks defense has been impressive and recruiting in a city like Houston is a good comparison to South Florida.

Bama might get rid of Golding this year, he might just be heading back to Bama lol

Watch Lake’s defense and get back to me

Some guys can’t handle both DC and HC responsibility. When he was strictly DC, UW played good disciplined, tough, assignment football. I have zero reason to doubt that he could do that here with our athletes. Belk is #1 for me, but Lake being in charge of the defense would be an impressive hire. JMO

Muschamp for DC and Mullen for OC. Pay them SEC-level salaries and enjoy the 1-2 years that they'd be here.

We could do worse than Muschamp, but he is close to toting that line for me of big name or actual legit coach? His defenses towards the end of his USCe tenure were bad. I know what I just said regarding Lake and splitting HC/DC duties, but even going back to his last job where he was strictly DC in 2015 with Auburn, they weren't very good on defense. It'd be more big name than actual substance right now. Again, JMO.

I hear you. My hope would be that if Muschamp was only focused on the D, then that coupled with his desire to resurrect his reputation, would lead to a dominant D.

Watch prior to him being HC. Very bend but don’t break, no pressure, highly complex system. Hard pass for me
