who do we have to beat to "officially" be a good team?

Playoff dub-you or GTFOH

ACC is weak sauce (even ACCCG) and Miami won't get any respect until after a RD I victory.

If they fall flat in RD I, the "I told you so" boo birds will.come out in flocks. The egg laying amfembians here will go into full spawning seasoning.

@JHallCanes knows what I speak of.

Aside from all my life changing nuggets of knowledge above, VT must be our Canes only focus right now.

We are a good team regardless of who we play, cant control the schedule. Dont think there is a perception issue, we are getting a lot of love from the national media and ranked in the top 10. I dont know what more could be expected.

To validate everything we do need to show some consistency and play well through the full ACC schedule. Do that and we end up in the top 5 with a first round bye. Doesnt really matter much beyond that with the new playoff format.

I dont think we can enter the conversation for #1 team in the country with this schedule unless got some help but again, doesnt really matter with the playoffs.

Winning the ACC title. Everything else is just talk.

While going 12-0 or 11-1 in P4 is definitely a good team, not one team on our schedule stamps that. I think by the time we get to the ACC Championship game, Clemson will be the first team we face with that clout. We will already be a good team. Assuming we win and get the bye, then we are facing the teams with rosters I think we are in trouble with. Basically, I don't think we are ready for Top 5 or 6 rosters, even with Cam. I could be wrong. We will see. Things happen, if we could win the title game against certain teams, that would be unbelievable.
 
reserving judgment for acc play. We have to continue on the trend of blowing teams out. Look it’s not our fault games scheduled out 5 years in advance those teams suck. FSU last year had a dog **** schedule and were in fights for a good majority of them. Blow those teams out it’s a good indicator for how good the team is.

Looking far ahead the must win and show out is Louisville. We Continue our trend we are on a crash course to play Clemson who imo looks much improved after that Georgia beat down, that’s a legit team.

Tldr beat Clemson in acc championship
 
Going to hear it all year long so deal with it. Just keep winning. The ACC sucks this year outside of Miami, Clemson and Louisville. Continue to beat the dog **** out every opponent. Get the bye in the first round. Let everyone keep doubting.
