Who are AD names?

Sucks. He definitely has learned all the tricks of the trade with being an AD. I know he has been at Bama forever. He is made there but was thinking dude might wanna run his own thang

Is there a reason for the Mack Rhoades talk? Seems like he’s got a good gig now.

I’m personally indifferent on Highsmith. He’d be much better served running football operations. I’m not sold on an AD with a pulse coming in and giving up the reigns to the moneymaker for this school. I just wonder how good Highsmith would be outside of football.
AD isnt there to "run" a single sport.

AD is there (at least at functioning and competent institutions) to bulldoze out of the way problems faced by HCs and provide necessary resources within given constraints.

I don’t really understand where my point said that. I just think it’ll be hard to convince a guy to leave a school that just won a national title and give up control of the football program.

Names mentioned by Stock on the ITU Podcast
Ross Bjork: Texas aTm AD Probably not likely
Tony Fernandez: Texas Tech Associate AD

Jurich?

Luck?

Jurich is a walkoff grand slam. It's not just that he has made excellent coaching hires, but I can't overstate how impressive it is that he got Louisville into the ACC. The Big10 and SEC are going to continue to look for teams to steal from other conferences, and I want someone who knows the game to make sure Miami isn't left begging for an invite into C-USA when the music stops.

As for Cunningham and Radakovich, I believe they’d be long shots but you just never know if they’re ready for the Florida beaches. I just hope we pull a proven experienced AD. We need their help.
0% Rado comes here. He’s about to retire. He would turn us around though. Won a national championship at UM as a GA.

Give me an experienced AD because as one poster mentioned, with realignment things are going to get interesting and I want someone with those pre existing connections.

Would love Highsmith as the assistant AD

I didn’t think about that aspect. Would be a big plus.

This dude is legit. Both of his brothers are SEC dudes. Ones Tenns AD the other is UFs basketball, coach. kept Lane on at FAU and hired Taggart who was a huge name for that program. He gets it. Understands high profile offense is key to winning games.

***** him... bring us Danny White

Jurich would be the best hire if we are serious about building the Athletic Department to championship levels....

Pitino would be the bonus... mentioned that Jurich was the best AD he ever worked for.

We might have to send Coach L to the nursing home, the way things are going on with canes basketball. Pitino might be the kick start coming on board with Jurich

Give me the nerdiest ******* dweeb in the country. I don't need some gym rat meathead telling me how things were in his day. Give me someone who can assess talent and determine a good fit because he's exercised the muscle between his ears more times than you've lifted a book in your life. This is the most important hire in Miami's history. Let's not whittle it down to as something as simple as "aLpHa brO"
Someone that gets it. Tired of these dumbass meatheads using terms they heard on the "Joe Rogan Podcast" with no understanding of what needs to be done. No one cares that Alonzo can walk into a locker room and chew out a student athlete, he will need to raise money, he will need to manage boosters and donors, and he will need to deal with sports other than football. Think Alonzo will be able to fake interest in Katie Meier and her program? I doubt it.

Get me an experienced, intelligent AD that has worked in collegiate athletics sometime this **** century. Alonzo has worked in the NFL, that might as well be a completely different planet, compared to what he would be required to do as an AD. I like Zo, I respect and appreciate what he has done for our alma mater, but I am tired of this "Miami Guy Bro" crap. It's WHY someone like Manny could be sneaked in. It's WHY Miami settled on an aging, over the hill Mark Richt, It's WHY Miami is one of the few schools in the country that would seriously consider Butch Davis in 2016.

If you want to hire an older AD like Jurich, and bring in Zo as the second in command, with the understanding that if Zo meets benchmarks he will be the next man up, then I'm all for it. I'm done with guys learning on the job, especially for mission critical jobs.

Jurich would be a great hire, which is why we can pretty much eliminate him from contention.
Jurich would be my "Back up a Brinks truck to his house" pick. You get him, you get Zo to come home and be the deputy AD and you go from there. You let Jurich groom Zo to be the AD in 5-7 years, because Tom isn't going to be around for a decade due to his age.
