Which UM football player all time could you clone and field an entire team of and have a chance to win?

Ray Lewis - Played safety, RB, and WR in high school so we know he can cover 4 positions
Warren Sapp - High School TE and LB so that's 3. Incredible athleticism for size
Jim Kelly - Recuitied as LB, big enough to hold his own at some posiitons on the line
Mali - pound for pound toughest SOB in years
ST - Could excel at pretty much every position

Give me Malachi Toney type players that have his God given talent, his drive , his athleticism , his football IQ and his commitment to the City of Miami and it’s a wrap.
 
Jeremy Shockey’s and it’s not because he’s my favorite player. It’s the position of TE. It’s a versatile position. One that can lineup at WR and more recently FB which eliminated the need for that position. They have the size and athleticism to do just about everything. Block, catch passes, run routes, maybe even throw a pass (we’ve seen College QB’s convert to TE in the NFL although rare). There was a VT QB who played TE for the Washington Redskins for a little while and he was actually decent (Logan Thomas I think?)

There are also a handful of TE’s who’ve converted to DL or LB. Only thing I haven’t seen is a TE convert to Nose Tackle or Safety, but Safety could be possible if they possess ball instincts and good tackling.

So why Shockey? He was one of the most dynamic TE’s to ever play here. Maybe he didn’t put up crazy stats like other TE’s we had but the teams he played on were loaded. He was an amazing receiver and stellar blocker. A matchup nightmare for defenses. Gronk used to write Shockey love letters before he became Gronk (true story). Oh and most importantly, Shockey was tough as ****. Would lose his helmet and run head first into a pile of bodies with no hesitation.

Correct I feel like it has to be a TE who could play the most positions based on size and athleticism. But I wouldn’t go with Winslow because he’s too psychotic and mentally unstable to have a full team of them. Actually sounds like a nightmare. Not the fun kind, but one that gives you actual nightmares or could be based on a horror film.
