My buddy and I were talking about this today. I can only imagine the nonsense they had to deal with last night. I’m sure he was just as his wits end by the time this happened. Absolutely no excuse for hitting a woman or really anyone like that and he should be disciplined accordingly but I do understand the feeling.

They were taking her out, and that's when she assaulted the one cop. The way they handled her was nothing compared to the videos I've seen of cops jacking up unruly teenagers in a classroom.
 
The officer's response was way over the top but this is just one of those double standards we accept as a society, we have accepted in general that it is ok for a woman to hit a man due to obvious genetic differences. Men are expected to take the punches or restrain them like a toddler. If a 5'7" 150 lb man is being unruly in a bar and slaps a large bouncer who tries to escort him out, if that bouncers beats the living **** out of that guy nobody cares about the size or strength difference people would just say that guy's an *** hole he deserved it.

Why do people assume they can hit an officer who is clearly trying to do his job. Story is this drunken child chose to sit on the steps and refused to move (after cussing out a section of fans). When she wouldn't leave, she was carried out and swung at a cop.

You reap what you sough. Charged with felony battery on the office. Maybe the 30-year old, shamed nurse will learn a lesson and not be a drunken fool next time.
 
The cops did a bad job imo. 4 officers removing a fan and not one handcuffed her, you know.......for their safety.

Overreaction by the cop. He should be punished.

Just think of how this cop acts when 65000 ppl are not watching. I wonder what he gets away with then.

If it was two civilians a female and god forbid a black guy and the black guy knocks the bytch out everyone would be upset, so the same goes for the cop hes wrong end of story. Arrest the bytch and be done with it theres no need for the extra ****. Cops that get there feelings hurt easily shouldnt be cops

Always the most reasonable person on this board. Until we get rid of public unions for gov workers we will never be able to get rid of bad cops and there are plenty. All cops should be held responsible for their actions but they won't with the BS unions protecting them. Cops don't have anyone making sure they do the right things, gotta fix that. We've all seen the **** that goes on, they have to be held accountable, all of them.

I'm all for giving this woman a 5k fine with a few others like mandatory AA meetings. If he didn't hit her back he gets half out of the 5k for that slap but cops can't be clocking people like this or worse. Did she deserve it? You bet, but it can't be done by cops, only in a real self defense situations and this wasn't one of them. Why wasn't she cuffed? The real loser in this is the little boy, she should be horse whipped for this alone.
