Which has the bigger payoff in games this season?

While I think the schemes that Richt and Diaz bring with them pay huge dividends, I'm saying strength and conditioning. Hearing we had been having the entire team doing the same workouts was maddening. Now that workouts are position specific, we're going to be a more explosive team all around. Not to mention I would expect the team to be fresher in the 4th quarter.

Scheme. By far. Otherwise you'd almost be saying that last year's team would have won 10+ games with a better conditioning program.

scheme. u can only do so much with s& c in 1 year. that said scheme, s&c and better coaching all around will be what makes this team better. scheme on d especially will help this team as will have richt as oc.

he is much better then coley no way he calls hb pass in redzone with chance to win a game in snow. no way richt does that. 0 chance. allowing south florida speed to attack and not play read and react 2 gap will help also.

We probably should have won ten games even with the crap we saw last year. Should have never been embarrassed by Cincinnati and was a few mistakes away from winning the bowl game. Not to mention how close we were against FSU. S & C, scheme, and coaching will all be better.

Scheme change is the equivalent of allowing players to play outside of a potato sack.
S & C is like allowing players to play without lead boots.

Can't wait.

Scheme.... We will all see adjustments during games unlike the last 5 years... I can't wait to see the defense unleashed this year!!

I would say scheme, however our S&C program was a joke last year...our linemen were so weak and out of shape it was a crying shame...

In the 2nd half of games guys started dropping like flies. (injuries, cramps, etc).
It was embarrassing how often we got hurt.

According to Mich"s Jim Harbaugh " Our biggest improvement over last years team record was because of our new strength and conditioning program"

Good question but tough for me to say. I'm in agreement with Lu here. They will both be significantly upgraded and that in and of itself has me excited. When Coley took over at OC, you could see the downgrade immediately. Going from Coley to Richt should be noticed from the get go. Diaz might not be Dantonio but he is a huge upgrade over Donofrio. Heck, just getting out of Golden/Donofrio's frog stance, patty cake and CB's 10 yards of the ball defense should be a big improvement.

I understand that we didn't hire Ivey or Moffit but our new S&C staff should do us wonders. I firmly believe that Swassey was in over his head.

Coley's inability to better adjust and play away from his team's weaknesses was so terribly apparent.

Richt should be a welcome change in that department. Running Backs chipping out of the back field is something I'd like to see more of TE's getting hands on DE's as well

Simple

Recruiting fixes s&c and scheme......recruiting trickles down n makes everything look great. U fix that main focus and everything falls into place

Scheme, by a mile. Yes, other aspects need to improve, but we had the talent, speed, and strength to beat everyone on our schedule outside of Clemson. Terrible coaching cost us games like Cincy, which had NOTHING to do with S&C. We didn't lose to FSU the last two years because of S&C, we lost because our lack of coaching.

Right now the only thing we really know and can bet on is that UM will be a much more fundamentally sound football team in 2016. Most likely, less bulky, more fit, faster, better coached, better schemed, better special teams. The incremental improvement in each of these area should be good for 1-2 more wins and more convincing and fewer last minute wins. Do we have a shot at the Coastal title, yes. Do we win the ACC, that is a long shot in 2016, but a good bet in 2017. Next year is going to be a fun and interesting season.

Scheme.

And it's not like these guys have not had a S&C program. The new S&C staff aren't starting with guys pulled off the street. I don't think the turnaround time will be very long at all.

I think scheme and overall the way practices are run

I'd say we're well on our way to being a top 25 team again... Give it 2 or 3 years. Exciting times

It's nice to know we are at least at the table when it comes to a top programs with Richt at the helm. Can't wait for Spring practice to start.
