Which Hurricane game did you feel the best after?

I expected to win every game when we were dominant, so i got a little more pleasure out of winning a big game when we were dogs, or when "they' doubted us...
#1 Nebraska '83
#1 Auburn '84
#1 FSU '88
#1 ND '89
Texas '90
UCLA '99
#1 FSU '00
ND '17
#1 FSU 91 in Tally. Canes went into game ranked #2 I think.

Just the way the game went, '03 UF with the Berlin comeback. I have to be frank, I thought they had us dead to rights. Berlin with his salute to the Gates was classic.

Lots of games though come to mind and there's no right answer. More like 1a, 1b, 1c, etc.

Underappreciated was the destruction of Washington. Complete and utter devastation and basically left feeling like we were the best team ever. Seems we were.

There were so many great games after the first NC so I’m going with one from before. Jim Kelly’s first start up in Happy Valley in 1979. It was that day I knew Howard was going to pull it off eventually. They were a good team playing at home in tough place to go into. Two years later we beat them in OB and cost them a title but it was that first game that said something new was roaming the Forrest and it was dangerous.

I grew up in Eastern Ky. My grandmother had been suffering from lung cancer. My mother and her sisters would clean my grandmothers house and have a dinner there every Saturday. I was really young and loved football but only really watched UK. My aunt Norma was dating a man (whom she later married) who was born and raised in Miami. He came every Saturday with her to my grandmothers and we would watch Miami games together. On November 24th, 1994, Thanksgiving night my grandmother passed away. Two days later the team I had grew to love, the Miami Hurricanes, beat Boston College 23-7 as my uncle to be and I watched from my grandmothers living room. That was the first time I had smiled since she passed. I was only 9 years old at the time but I can still remember that day vividly.

FSU 1987....Canes trailing 19 - 3 in 2nd half made an epic comeback...Won 26-25....Not only a herculean come from behind victory...But of national significance - both teams were ranked in the top 5 at the time...and historical significance - directly led to Canes 2nd of 5 national championships....

1987 - When Men were Men...The Stakes Were High....and Madonna still looked like an Earthling....

There have been a few. In no particular order:

1989 vs Notre Dame
Canes rout undefeated, top-ranked, and defending NC Notre Dame in a revenge game. Last game of season. Canes on their way to a 3rd NC. My 25th birthday. Strippers. Good times. Really good times.

1994 vs FSU
The Canes were reeling after the end of the 58-game home winning streak and a lackluster win at Rutgers. Canes return home to beat FSU handily with one of the best defensive teams ever: Warren Sapp, Ray Lewis, Kernard Lang, Kenny Holmes, Pat Riley, Rohan Marley. Defense made big plays all night with three key interceptions. Watching on TV, I could feel the intensity of the nighttime crowd. I thought the stadium might collapse after Carlos Jones iced the game with a pick 6.

2001 Rose Bowl vs Nebraska.
Attended the game. Even up 34-0 at halftime I grew nervous as NU scored 14 as Coker called off the dawgs. I had nothing to worry about, of course. Great feeling as the 80% NU crowd was silent most of the game.

2003 Berlin-led comeback vs Florida
A Gator friend of mine kept leaving me voice messages as UF jumped out to huge lead. I saw this friend the next morning to watch NFL games. He immediately ducked his head in shame. Good times.

2000 Wide Right III vs FSU
The Canes were back after beating defending NC and hated-rival FSU. Rough game emotionally, as the Canes blew a 17-0 lead and needed ‘the drive’ to score the go-ahead TD with a minute (?) to go, and then needed a missed FG to preserve the victory.

1998 vs UCLA
The Canes were almost back after upsetting undefeated and #2 UCLA, one week after being throttled 66-13 at Syracuse.

1990 Cotton Bowl vs Texas
Despite public opinion, the Canes gave a big middle finger to CFB. Overwhelmed Texas 46-3. Made the CBS announcers cry.

Other posts remind me of other great games....too many to rehash.

The 1990 Cotton Bowl was a total beat down. Craig and Thrill told the real story about Randall’s TD catch at Doral one day. Thrill actually planned on running around the outside of the Cotton Bowl but the gate was locked at the end of the tunnel so Thrill came back with his 6 shooters to honor Texas! That was the funniest play in college football history! Big Russ also had a field day with the Horns o line. that game was like a night on the town for the boys. Officials came over to Coach E at the end of the first qtr and told him , “You have to start controlling these guys” and Dennis told them: “youre getting paid to referee, you try to control them” and that is from an eye witness who was standing next to him!

An often forgotten game was UM vs FSU in 88....They were #1 ( even though we were defending NCs) and of course those silly faqquits sent that stupid ***, Geri Curl (Deion) Rap video....Talk about a Beatdown...Good Lord....

Obviously ND, Florida and FSU are on the list however not sure they compare to UCLA

Main difference -- how badly we lost the week before to Syracuse

I got so many. Smacking nd in the OB after getting robbed in leprechaun land. Tiger Clark played out of his mind that game. Destroying UW 65-7 after they talked all that **** is one of the absolute best too.

went to my first orange bowl game in 89 when i was a student and saw Miami beat the snot out of notre dame. i was hooked. bought 50 yardline 17 rows up season tickets on the visitor side. went to the 2000 game agaisnt FSU with my father. they ran out of sellable liquids at halftime. typical scorching miami 93 degree summer day. we came into the game after a two year dry-spell with kenny kelly at the helm. they started this dorky kid from california who never threw an interception and who hit santana moss in perfect olympic sprinter stride with 53 seconds left. they bring it down and dorsey hits shockey in the end zone and i gave my daddy and he gave me the best hug i've ever had. we had sun-stroke, skin-cancerous lesions, sore throats but we knew that no matter how much we were down, for the next 3 years, "dont' worry Dorsey's got this" and the motherfugger did.

Im a youngin but 2017 ND was the greatest sporting event I've ever been to. I won't fault anyone for not believing me, but I called the Bandy pick six seconds before the play while taunting an ND fan with my chain, "This is coming out this play". Their faces were amazing. The energy in the building, insane. I was getting drinks liberally and it was a non-stop party everywhere.
