Being an all time great tackler and take #s are not the same. When Ray hit you, you went down. He was a Great tackler, not deniable
he was a Great tackler...but Nate Webster was even better in College....Hence, 300+ Tackles in only 22 games played....Nate was a MFing Tackling machine...when Nate hit your ***...not only were you going down...but going down HARD

If he was Great....Nate Webster was even better in College....Hence, 300+ Tackles in only 22 games played....
Nate is in my top 5 favorite Canes all time. The problem is you are not grasping high tackle #s and being a "sure tackler" are not the same thing. I watched AJ Hawk rack up tackle after tackle for a few seasons in GB and he was a compete bum. Do not just read #s, watch the players.
I'm a huge Ray fan for that tackling sureness and for his making the team better/motivation.

1st off...i'm not Bud....I need absolutely no lessons on UM LBers "Especially Nate" from anyone on this site....as far as watching players (LBers) at UM.....I promise you my vantage point was as good as it gets.

Ok buddy, just in case you needed a refresher on Ray though here you go. So you take Nate over Ray? Cool its a matter of opinion, not need to get fiesty. Good chat. The NFL took Ray Round 1 and Nate Round 3 for a reason though

I think they’re both on the same level as the Bosa’s & Chase Young. Washington took Chase Young when they already had a nice young talented d-line. Phillips & Rousseau both dominated & tested well. Stop looking for red flags & watch the games.
The NFL does not. Bosa's and Young had multiple years of dominating, there wasn't too much for them to work on hence them being top 5 picks.

I did watch the games. That's how I know neither will be top 10 picks. If Greg would've came back and built on a good year then we'd be having a different conversation. Phillips showed an array of skills and got better which is why he's likely to be a top 20 pick.

I picked Phillips, but our kicker is likely to have the longest career and biggest impact.
