I never believed UM would blow out FSU, not only is it a rivalry game but I thought FSU had settled itself a bit. Unreal second half by the defense, I mean, after the Noles went up 27-7, you could just feel the air get taken out of the balloon and it looked ugly

- But those blue-chip defenders of Manny Diaz from Willis, Shaq, Pinkney, Thriller Jackson, Jacquan, all made plays. But I really felt late in the game that Joe Jax and the Garvinator really took over this game and Francois was shook. He's a gutty, skilled QB but you can tell he felt their presence on pass downs. They played as advertised today and Diaz called a strong game in my view.

- As for the offense, well..... hey Miami won!!

- It's clear to me that till UM gets the Oline that Richt wants, what he runs will always struggle a bit because for the time being they cant create consistent running lanes. But they created a push late when they absolutely needed it and Travis Homer sealed it

- Perry hit some key throws but again, we'll have to live with his growing pains. He missed some wide open throws today. But that 3rd down throw to Jeff Thomas and the TD to Jordan were clutch. Again, we can't pull him, we have to ride or die with his mistakes and hope he develops. He will be better for this experience(hopefully)

And Jeff 'the Jet' Thomas, the guy is special, That's all I can say. I love watching him play

- Great to see 'Choc' Gray make some key contributions in his final season. He is 'the First Down Maker'

- Brevin 'Korean Air Jordan grew up right b4 our eyes today

- Special teams, all I'm gonna say is where have you gone Joe Pannunzuio and Dave Arnold. I'll just leave it at that. I have never seen such a poorly coached unit in my life.

- Hey, it was a struggle but you know what they say about beating your rival - it beats losing

Honestly, Im still numb that the Canes somehow willed their way to victory.

Everyone get on your knees and blow manny for this W. The offense , playcalling and st’s did everything possible to lose.

Can’t watch UM v FSU games all the way through anymore. I’m 70+ with an inherited certainty of strokes. Just have to wait and watch the end, but that is all.

Overall...fun win that got me very hype. But still, troubling trends continue.

The first half was a horrendous half of football by Miami. Unprepared and undisciplined. If FSU isn't absolutely dogshyt, we probably get run out of the gym.

Offensively....46 rushes. I don't care if they 'Canes only had 2.2ypc...this was crucial to keeping Miami on the field at a 34:26 ratio. This is how you win games. As I've said for YEARS on this forum...run the football. When all else fails, you need to be able to line up hat on hat and run the football. Miami did. Miami didn't abandon the run. Miami won. idk, maybe I was right all of these years and I'd like to thank Mark Richt for reading CanesInsight and listening to me. I see you.

Miami's playmakers at WR and TE are awesome. They all have a role. They have made their little historic mark in our story. Most of them also have deficiencies, but whatever. Dee Wiggins has been shockingly good this early in his career. Sets up DBs so well on routes.

Defensively...Jackson, Garvin, Willis are so insanely good right now, its unreal. No better four down linemen create more pressure than these guys. We need 15 Jackson/Garvin/Willis types. They are so awesome to watch. Miami is also stopping the run right now. Every single one is playing line a first rounder right now.

The DBs were alright. They had some busts in coverage, but overall, contained the FSU passing game, which is trash anyway. Safeties in the run game were A1.

...

Big picture thoughts...

Miami is still on track to be exactly what Vegas thought they were going to be...a 10-2, 11-1 type team and going on to play in the ACC Championship game as the Coastal rep. Nothing Miami has done has changed anyone's opinion on that.

Now, can they beat Clemson? I guess we'll see in December.

The Turnover Chain is getting to mythical status...and listen...its pretty great...but having to rely too heavily on getting turnovers will bite us in the *** again - see the LSU game for the most recent example.

This is revenge for all the outmatched Miami teams that played FSU close but choked in the end. If we had simply crushed FSU, their fans would have become numb and compartmentalized their pain, but if you give them a 3 score lead, if you give them hope, let them open up their hearts, then you you can inflict meaningful and lasting pain that no gucci backpack can heal.

Those are some great nicknames there!

After Bubba missed that FG in the 4th, he was sitting on the bench looking like he just witnessed Lexington Steele bukakke his mom.

We need a kicker and a punter STAT.

Post of the day

It is pretty simple we have the best D in the land and we have amazing TE , WR and RB and a soon to be great QB but boy does our OL stink ( though they young guys look promising like Scaife) and our special teams needs work. IN the one game our new Punter punts well they cant cover the kicks LOL what?

You're opening no egg here, #9 "grew up" much earlier than today,

Re: Special teams. I said it earlier in the year, Hartley needs to stick to recruiting,
