Where is the Gators hype coming from?

I’m struggling to see the vision here. DJ Lagway is a legitimate talent, but they’ve added nobody and lost a lot.

The only blue-chip transfer they added (J. Michael Sturdivant) is a fifth-year player with a career high of 755 yards in 2022. They lost four blue-chip transfers up front (Pyburn, Searcy, Collins, Robinson) and another blue-chip corner transfer (Jackson). They also lost 7 players to the draft.

What is the argument they’ll be good?

Lagway is certainly talented but what evidence is there that that he's actually good? He's getting a lot of hype for a guy who threw 12 Tds, 9 picks, with a sub 60% completion percentage to go with 100 yards on the ground. He's also shown to be injury prone.

all the hype.... and I mean ALL the hype is really just about Lagway. It's absolutely ridiculous but I guess having a QB with some potential blinds people from exposure to what the team actually lacks.
Yea they are betting on what they have seen that he can carry. Which I disagree with, he’s not that type of qb to carry. He can win but he ain’t carrying a team. He is inconsistent asf as well, all that arm talent don’t mean anything when they can’t see sh cause bullets are flying.

They're gonna fvck around and find out QUICK

Its CFB writers. These same dolts had FSU as a top 10 team last year despite losing all their talent. It’s the dumbest collection of people ever. They just pick a rabid fan base, hype them up and presto…clicks=good informed writer. At least that how it works now. My $0.02.

Go Canes!
It's not about getting it right, but rather shaping public opinion.

THIS. Lagway turned what could have been a disastrous season into a "future is bright" season. But he is crazy inconsistent and now every DC has his film and knows his tendencies. Plus his surrounding cast is worse. I'm expecting a Sophomore slump not a leap and that he'll lose games trying to do too much and coughing the ball up. Assuming he is even capable of playing effectively. Sounds like he's throwing now, but still in bubble wrap.

Works in our favor so, idc. After they get smacked by Nuss, they get smacked by us. They'll definitely get some grace for that LSU game also.
