where is the banner troll?

Can someone please PM me with this dimwit's banner receipt? I'd like to call the banner company tomorrow and offer them a rack to cancel d1ckedcane's contract and instead fly "Thank you, Seniors!"

No tricks, just cash. And no crowdsourcing necessary.

Good thing I don't have wait long to adhere your strict rules about when I can @ you. The same article you posted says this dude was critical of the AD for not hiring Jimbo Fisher:

Alleva was interested in hiring Fisher after the 2015 and '16 seasons before eventually hiring Ed Orgeron, who was interim head coach through much of the 2016 season. Lipsey has been critical of Alleva for botching the potential hiring of Fisher late in the 2015 season from Florida State and for mishandling an attempt at firing LSU coach Les Miles late in the 2015 season. Miles was later fired four games into the 2016 season and replaced by Orgeron.

So in other words, The AD hired the guy who has them ranked #1 in the country, instead of Dumbo Fisher, who's 15-7 and left an FSU program in absoute shambles.

Either way, comparing the opinion of the most powerful booster at LSU to our resident Lloyd Christmas is ludicrous in it's own right. One carries actual weight, the other is a 14 year old screaming into the mirror.

And don't @ me again until you actually read more than the first paragraph of an article that disproves your own point.

Orgeron was an objectively bad hire. Do you know how he did at Mississippi?

Maybe it’s a bad hire that worked. But it was still a bad hire.

I do not want an AD who hired Ed Orgeron. Nor would I want the Clemson AD who hired Dabo Swiney, which is the dictionary definition of a bad hire that worked.

maybe we should strap him to the plane and have a sign that reads "i am a bum"
Have not read the thread so SIAP but beating a crappy FSU team means we’re on the right track? We might be and hopefully are but I also don’t rule out getting beat by Louisville. It has been only a few weeks since the loss at home to a 1 win Ga. Tech team. This crappy schedule may only be fools gold. All 8-4 records are not equal, if that’s the case. Hope to play a legit team in a bowl and can get a better judgement.

Wait how did I miss this? Someone called the banner company and changed the message and it worked? Lmfao this is first ballot CIS hall of fame material

That almost assuredly didn't happen, but it makes for an entertaining story.

"Hi banner company, it's me again, listen I've rethought this whole thing and instead of, '**** your own faces,' I'd like to go with, 'Yay, go team.' Yeah, totally me again. Same guy."

Yeah, I'm sure they're shaking in their boots over an antiquated banner protest.

The University of Georgia signed up 1,100+ new members to their Magill Society in 2018—a minimum $25,000 donation—equating to at least $27,500,000 from alumni / fans; on top of all the other alum and fan driven donations that helped build the $200,000,000 invested into their athletic department over the past year.

Meanwhile Miami has fans threatening to boycott a barely 2/3 full stadium and doing GoFundMe campaigns to raise $495 for a banner fly. One of these two things is not like the other.

The day Miami alum multiply in numbers and start writing five and six figure checks in droves; that's the day you'll see a different looking athletic department.

.....aaaaaaaand that is what a lot of the short bus riders on this site don’t understand.

I have no problem with people criticizing the coaches or athletic department on their performance, but many, if not most, dont have a fūcking clue how any of this works.

That Georgia example is a perfect one. Georgia which has won one national championship in the last hundred years or so, has a booster/fan base that contributes probably 1000 times more than anybody in Miami does. Where does that money go? It goes to facilities, it goes to athletic dorms, it goes to coaches salaries, it goes to training table, anything to do with the athletic department especially football.

Meanwhile we had to beg for the last $500,000 for the IPF. Literally beg. So when people say Miami is cheap they have no fūcking clue what they’re talking about. It literally is our fans/boosters that are cheap.

Miami has limited resources. It would have a lot more resources if we didn’t have dumbasses trying to encourage people to not go to games and not support the program.

Before anybody gets all excited, I’m not using this as an excuse for lack of performance, because we’re nowhere near where we need to be and that certainly is on the coaches and the athletic department.

But if you think in this age of billion dollar athletic departments we’re going to take that next step from winning the coastal to national championship contention, we better find a Bill Gates out there., or we better have our fans kicking in to the program in a much bigger way, rather than kicking in to fly banners

Yea, ppl believe anything posted on the internet these days

You missed out. One of the funnier threads in a while. Basically, ******* here bragged went full "Here-is-my-Social-Security-Number-Mr-Identity-Thief" by porsting the receipt to the banner order here on CiS. Someone then used the information from the post to change the banner. Fvckin' amateur hour.
Pure gold. Whoever did switch it up should let themselves be known. Legend.

You're not wrong. Problem is that we don't have the sizable alumni base to get 1100 people to throw in that kind of money. We don't have an athletic department administration that has a clue either. There's no consolidated voice from the boosters either. For all the criticism of the Seminole boosters and how there's a lot of potential for shady activity, at least it's a single voice and they heard it loud and clear.

I'll admit I'm one of those dumbasses who vowed not to spend a penny. Not because I think its an effective tool, but it's my only tool.

If you have boosters with deep pockets that care, everything flows from this. And we just don’t have the big-money boosters, and like I said before our fans are notoriously cheap. Unless this fan base starts taking ownership of the program, and by ownership I mean kicking in with money on a big basis, then that’s when you have a voice.

You don’t think the FSU boosters had a voice, and their voice is predicated on their $30 million deep pockets to get rid of Willie.

Our best hope is to find a coach that consistently wins double digit games and the coastal, gets a larger proportion of the fan base excited and contributing significantly more money, and we can get some of our boosters to drop more,

Preferably we can find some boosters that don’t exist as part of the program right now, but have really deep pockets. And if that sounds like pie in the sky, had anybody heard of Carol Sofer two years ago? So it can happen. We need about 20 more of her
