When's the last time we were favored in every game?

If USF plays well against FSU(very real possibility), or upsets FSU(unlikely but hey ya never know, and South Florida is actually expected to have a solid year), then we could be on pace to be favored in every game we play this year.

I know what you're thinking in your head right now.ND will be favored against us... Well my assumption(yes I know what assuming does) is based on the fact that ND will be taking their 3rd loss of the season on behalf of David Shaw and Stanford two weeks before we head to South Bend.

If a 3 loss ND team is favored against an undefeated Miami team then i'll eat crow but no way in **** can I see that happening, especially since ND's texas loss will be looking worse and worse here pretty soon when Texas gets into conference play and drops a few games.

I can't imagine how long it's been since that has happened. We surely can attribute it to a weak schedule and not necessarily us being great, but it's still pretty miraculous how this season is shaping up for Richt's homecoming. If he can take care of business we have an excellent shot at making a major splash very early in his tenure here at Miami

now I know we shouldn't take much stock in what people expect and the team still has to perform but that's a **** of a turn around in under a year.

10.25.15 we are fresh off the worst loss in program history and fire our head coach. A year later and we've got a whole season where Vegas(which is typically respected as they do their research and put some serious money on the line to be right every week) have us pegged better than every team on our schedule.

Partner this with a head coach that can actually motivate young men to show up against lesser opponents and can make adjustments on the fly, and I'm happier than I've been about Miami football since 2005 VT.

EDIT***

let me also add, that I know it's obvious, the more you keep winning the more you'll be favored... but this is assuming as of right now, this very instant, we can all agree that the only two teams that would probably be favored over us are ND and FSU. So I'm more focusing on the general perception that no team this year is perceivably better than us at the time of the game.

Both are on the verge of collapsing, therefore making my above comments more credible perhaps

Us dropping a game to FSU or VT on the road can certainly change that, but for argument sake I think if we were to play VT this coming weekend, we would be favored

Interesting question. 2004? I know we played a highly ranked UVA team and were coming off 2 losses that year but it was also in the OB. FSU was also in the OB that year to open the season and I think we were ranked like one spot behind them going in.

Was going to say this won't happen, but ESPN has us about 45% vs fsu and nd. Both of those are better odds than last week, so the numbers are headed in the right direction. As for last time, who knows but it was a long time ago. I'm still assuming we'll lose a few, but it's getting harder to pick which games, and easier to think we win out.

Interesting question....2003 or 4? There is a good chance though that we will be favored each game. Assuming we don't lose.

In 2004 we were #5 and FSU was #4 in the OB in the opener. Don't know who was favored. Other games we might have been underdogs, #18 Miami @#10 UVA, #10 VT @ #9 Miami.

If I had to guess, it was only the UVA game.

My Bulls have a very real chance against fsu. The Bulls are tons better since Willie Taggert cleaned up holtz's vomit. I had to give up my tickets and a great weekend with my Ol Skool frat Bros because I have to be out of town. fsu will come out trying to play inspired by Walker's pep talk. I'm sure Jameis will sit his *** down after ****ting on the field in Arizona Sunday.

Will FSU have a hangover from UL? Or will they come out and curb stomp USF in response to last week. Or, do they just suck and it'll be a close game?

If We have 1 loss and VT has 1 loss at the time we play, then we might be underdogs there. Blacksburg gets like 4 pts from Vegas. Could be a 1-3 pt spread. Even pick em.

45% means a projected line of about 2 pts. It was over 10 about a week ago.

Plus we go with only 5 day turnaround after Carolina. Another great scheduling move.

I'd rather be underdogs and continue to play the lack of respeck card. It's working well for us.
