Willis is classic example of what a lot of people on here argue about: star rankings
We need 4 and 5 stars year in and year out. Willis is a former highly ranked guy and hes been the best player on our line this year
 
We're not even in the same area code as "back" until Rick lifts that trophy. And it has become abundantly clear that's not a possibility until he has at least competent play at the QB position followed by a distant second of having good (not even great) o-line play. I'll take those improvements before I even break a sweat about having a Clemson-esque d-line.

Also our 2019 class is shamefully low ranked. Aka we arent continually loading up like is needed to win. Losing four national tv games in a row in embarrassing fashion tends to destroy recruiting.

We’re getting Neal, Ingraham, JJ Weaver, Khris Bogle, Ahmmon’s younger bro, Cornelius Nunn, Keon Zipperer, Jason Blissett, and Kenny according to Ivins who rarely misses. That’ll probably be the 9th or 10th best in the country if they all stay at their rankings. Sadly for you that they’re not and Ingraham, Cornelius, JJ, Marcus Crowley, Jalar Holley and Jason Blissett are probably all going to be top 200 players by the end of the year and that’ll bump us to about 6th or 7th...ruining your theory.


God i feel like one of those Gaytor ***gots doing that.

Someone posted in one of the pre LSU threads that we have 2 or 3 top 100 players on the starting defense. LSU had like 8.
 
O line and QB play separate us and offensive play calling. We could use more depth on the lines but our WRs were running free on their secondary.
 
If Miami places 11 or more draftees in April or 6 or more selects for just the 1st round, but hasn't/doesn't win a Natty...is the program "back"?

Since I can remember that fateful '84 January evening when Husker hearts lay broken on The Orange Bowl field (ahora!), the standard for our Canes has been an undefeated record with a National Championship.

Has that changed?

Always about matchups. Their defensive DUDES are going against an offense that includes Jahair Jones and Hayden Baloney.

Talk about a drop....And if you add the OCs...DCs and position coaches in the same comparison and timeframe, it's kinda astounding.....We went from having Ferrari type staffs, to Mediocre types rather quickly....
 
Ask yourself, You think Richt Jr or Diaz would be Coordinators under Howard..JJ...Erickson or Butch??
Who would they replace under them??

Lol at what position other than wideout did we field better athletes? We are on the right track but come on now. Les Miles left Coach O a roster that is littered with 4 and 5 star recruits up and down it's two sometimes three deep.
