....pulled away from a "good" team in the 2nd half? I'm not talking continuing a beatdown all game like we did against Notre Dame. I'm talking like being up 3 late in the 3rd quarter and actually closing a game out. Not winning in the last 2 mins or something like that either. Actually closing a game out and putting a boot on the neck of our opponent in the 4th and winning by like 10 (or more).

*Not remotely trying to be a mope here either. My alcohol and narcotic and sadness riddled brain really is having trouble remembering such an instance in forever.

That's a very specific question. Like asking when we last had a blow out away game under a full moon during a holiday.

Very bizarre question. I guess VT 2 years ago? It depends on how you define good...Pitt was decent last year (better than us), and we pulled away in that game. Maybe we started pulling away too early to qualify?

This is an oddly specific question.

Last year vs VT? Up 17-14 at half. Finished 38-17.

He said a "good" team. Hokies were 4-5 when Miami beat them last November.

Someone else said Pitt; who was 7-4 when the Canes won an offensive-less season finale.

Hokies were 7-1 and a Top 25 team in 2017. Canes led 14-3 at the half and pulled away for a 28-10 win.

I'd probably define good as ranked and it's really not that odd or specific a scenario. It's basically just a scenario you see almost weekly in college football where a better team pulls away from a "good" team late in the game. I know we as a fanbase aren't that familiar with the concept as of recent.

We outscored every team we played in the second half of the enitre 15 game winning streak under CMR. VT last year.

The good teams there I don't know.

When was the last time you've seen a ref pickup a flag on an interference call especially in the endzone with time running out? I've never seen it!! And when will the ACC Officiating Committee begin to question these other Officiating crews that protect teams in the SEC with questionable calls that just about always protect their bell cow of the league??

This sh#$T aint no coincidence to always favor the Bama's, Georgia's and the other Top SEC teams?!! Flags being picked up conveniently at pivotal points of a game.

My bad I overlooked the good team part.

I believe it was some time in between the 2nd and 3rd Punic Wars....

They have it down to a science, bro.

A) That was a **** officiated game BUT

B) and Herbstreit even said so- almost all of the calls were against us early

So what usually happens? They give us one bullsh!t "make-up" call. This happened yesterday on a late hit/personal foul call against UiF on their sideline.

This not only gives them false cover to later say that at worst the "bad calls" went both ways but it also gives them license to eff us over later in the game on a call that actually could determine the outcome.

And any clown that is like "Well you guys got like 14 previous pass interference calls late in the 4th..." is only demonstrating that they either have an agenda or are blind as ALL of those were blatant interference and almost comically insane plays by the faux "DB U".

And the Interference calls on balls sailing 10 feet above uncatchable out of bounds was totally ridiculous!! Now we should just take those calls because we never should have the game that close to have the refs decide the game, as some would want to believe we're just making excuses. But that's how some idiots think!!

We are the underdogs, but to win the game we need to blowout the favorite team just in case it's close enough for the refs to make a difference deciding the outcome. Well it sounds like a good plan to me!! F That SHATT!!
