You can talk for hours straight about all the issues with basketball and the NBA right now.

It was always bogged down by the number of points scored making the first 3 quarters kind of boring, then you get to when it matters and its raped by incessant time outs the coaches saved for that moment.

Then you throw in the new issues

Over saturation of points
3 point shots over high flying action by the rim
Zero physicality
Rules preventing defense like mentioned in this thread
Flopping
Players making exorbinant money to sit half the games
Players jump around the league, care more about "legacy" than franchise/fans
Teams tanking
Lack of interesting superstars or dominant big men compared to prior decades

The NHL right now is the antisesis in every way and the far better arena product to watch these days.
